Until December 30, the Midtown Puppet Arts Center invites families to fly to the North Pole as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Deer” returns to the stage for the festive holiday season.
The beloved story has become a holiday tradition for Atlanta families and trips down memory lane for children at heart. “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Deer” will be performed at the Mainstage Theatre. A faithful adaptation of the stop-motion animated television classic from 1964, its production was adapted for puppetry by Jon Ludwig and directed by Tim Sweeney.
Guests will delight in familiar holiday tunes as Santa’s Workshop, Island of Misfits, and the North Pole come to life with stick-and-body puppets designed by the center’s resident puppeteer Jason Hines and built by the center’s team of puppeteers. Dolph Amick, Maggie Birgel, Nikolas Carleo, Brian Harrison, Kristin Storla and Anna Williford round out the puppeteers.
