Origami 5 Pointed Star Instructions – After making a few of these stars you can easily make them without my instructions. I’ve provided detailed step-by-step instructions with some tips to get you started.

Origami 5 Pointed Star Instructions
The next step is to line up your pentagon shape with the paper you want the front of the star to face down, so if you’re using one-sided patterned paper, place the patterned side down.
Five Pointed Origami Star
Fold the paper in half starting at one end of the width of the pentagon. So we have this shape:
Repeat this for each of the five points, until the paper looks like this (I’ve drawn the fold lines so it’s clear in the photo):
Next, fold the straight edge up, in half, as it meets the bottom fold lines (the fold lines are the left and right marks you made in the previous step). The following photo explains the fold:
Now fold the bottom edge up making sure that the push-up point moves to the left.

Note: In this case, it’s easier to find the side point where the two bottom creases meet, which I’ve marked with a pencil in the next photo:
When all the points are pinned, join the points together and bring them to the center and with a little wiggle, the star shape should begin to slide together, finding a natural folded pattern. This part can be frustrating until you get the hang of it.
Reverse the star. In the photo below you can see that the right point is bent so that the point touches the center of the star. You will notice that the edge of the right lines has come up with the crease line already formed. Make sure you get a nice point when you fold the wire.
Now we make real stars! Working clockwise around the star, fold the creases you just made again, but this time fold them so that each fold tucks under the next fold, keeping this fold in place and holding the star together.

Easy Ways To Fold Cute Origami Stars (+video Tutorial)
Paper pentagon (see tutorial on how to make your own paper pentagon)
The first thing you need to do is fold your pentagon in half as shown in the picture. Open it again and repeat for 5 pentagon points.
Place a flat-sided pentagon in front of you. Fold it into a pentagon so that the sides reach the folds at the top two outer points. This is shown below. Open it up and repeat on 5 sides.
Place your pentagon on one side in front of you. Now fold the left hand along the crease you have already made. Fold the bottom side along the crease you already made. Make sure you draw the points as shown in the image below. It can be a bit clumsy but tolerable. Open and repeat the process for all 5 points.
How To Make An Easy Origami Star
Alternately drag your points and work your way around the pentagon. You gradually create 3D shapes. Your pentagon will look like a bowl.
Continue this until you can overlap the dots in a counterclockwise direction and they are all connected to form your star shape. You will now have a flat star shape as shown. This is your star reversal.
Alternately take each point and fold it in half so that the point on the inner pentagon meets the center of the pentagon. Meanwhile, unfold the folds.
Finally fold again so that all these folds are connected to each other. Be careful to tuck it under the point next to the last point.
