Lizard Crafts – I teach science curriculum to our 5 year olds while the older kids are in anatomy class. The curriculum I used this year is Bugs to Bunnies. I recently taught about lizards. Once in a while I teach the kids and do a craft and/or activity along with the lesson.
First I had the kids color Popsicle sticks. Since they were painted, I cut the plywood sticks into 3 inch pieces (you need 2 for each lizard). Take the chenille sticks and bend them to look like a box. Fold the outer parts down (these are the legs). Then hot glue them to the bottom of the Popsicle stick. Finally, have the kids glue the cute eyes onto the end of the Popsicle stick using a bottle of glue.
