Air Force Letter Of Appreciation Template – Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, located adjacent to Syracuse Hancock International Airport, has become an important part of the Syracuse area. It is located about 4 miles northeast of Syracuse, New York. During World War II this base was used as a training, storage and installation site. It has remained an active military base ever since. Currently, the New York Air National Guard’s 174th Fighter Wing is at the base where they fly the MQ-9 Reaper drone. During his time in Congress, James T. Walsh worked to provide funding and keep Hancock Field operational. He was met with funding for the base, as well as his involvement in the process that saw the F-16 leave the base with the MQ-Reaper drone replacing it. Walsh is fighting to ensure the commitment made to allow MQ-9 Reaper drones up to Hancock is not reneged on.
