Draw the correct shape around the template or on the card. I used 12 cutouts for each decoration. Once cut, fold each in half.

Now glue the pieces together to create the decor. Take the first cutout and apply glue to the halves. Then do the same with the second cutout and glue them together. Continue this with all the cutouts and glue each one to the previous cut.

When all 12 cutouts are glued together, the last cut can be glued to the first to create the complete shape. If you want to hang the decoration on the tree, first apply glue to the inner “core” and glue the embroidery thread above the loop down. Then you can glue the two ends together. Press for a few seconds to make sure it is securely in place.

I made a few different shapes including mini Christmas trees, stars and classic baubles. I also made a larger tree perfect to sit on a table or display. It’s easy to make and you can create many variations!
