The new color palette makes the entire logo look more confident and professional, and the yellow lines allow the logo to be placed on different backgrounds without losing visibility and distinction.

As for the football club’s alternate logo, it uses the same imagery as the original, but adds the letters “Wyoming” or “Cowboys” below the graphics, executed in a custom font. The alternate logo also offers three original color schemes that replicate the secondary type changes.

The beautiful and recognizable custom font of the Wyoming Cowboys logo features a checkered-style font based on a serif typeface of the Collegiate Athletic League, close to Sporting Life JNL or Campione Neue Serif Bold. This week’s trip was the Cowboys’ longest road trip of the season, flying more than 3,300 miles to Honolulu to take on the Rainbow Warriors.

The Wyoming Cowboys and Hawaiian Rainbow Warriors played for the 27th time in school history. The two teams met for the 26th time, winning the Paniolo Championship. Wyoming now leads Hawaii’s 10 with 16 wins, leading the series’ Paniolo Trophy division. The entire series was led by Wyoming 16-11.

Wyoming and Hawaii played football for the first time on November 18, 1978, with Hawaii winning 27-22 in their first encounter in Honolulu. The Travel Cup is called the Paniolo Trophy. Paniolo means cowboy in Hawaiian. For the next 19 years, from 1979 to 1997, the two teams competed for the Paniolo title. The series between the two schools came to an end after Wyoming State won 35-6 in Honolulu in 1997. Wyoming and Hawaii were not scheduled to play in 1998 because of the WAC’s 16-team rotation schedule at the time. In 1999, Wyoming joined the Mountain West League, ending a 15-year winning streak.
