Viking River Cruises North America – The cruise ship Viking, headed north on the Mississippi River, is unable to complete its voyage due to low water levels, the company said in a statement Thursday.

“Due to unusually low water levels along the Mississippi River, portions of the river have been closed, affecting all northbound and southbound shipping traffic,” the statement said.
