Bake cookies, one pan at a time, until tops are firm and edges are slightly browned, about 8 minutes for smaller shapes and up to 15 minutes for larger shapes.

In step 8 of this project, cover the front/back short sides with candy melts using a spoon.

Hold until it hardens.

Every year I try to make my gingerbread house a little more complicated and difficult than the previous year, this year it took me a week to build the gingerbread house!

Snow on your roof is just a coconut. For the windows, I melted the sugar (for a little vanilla flavor), then poured it into the empty windows and let it cool and harden. I forgot to drill a hole in the front to light the entry windows as well.
