Ever since our three-year-old spotted plastic eggs at the dollar store a while ago, he’s been enthusiastic about all the Easter egg crafts and activities! She even hid round and egg-shaped toys around the house and took her younger siblings on an “Easter egg hunt” to find them.

Of course, she was thrilled to see that I had made the Easter egg printable and immediately asked if we could remove the markers for coloring!

Coloring is one thing that can be printed, but there are so many other possibilities! So upload the files using the form below, then scroll down to find ideas for every age group!

Egg Shape Templates For Easter

The most obvious thing to do with this pattern is to just print it out and let your kids color the eggs using crayons, markers, crayons, pastels, paints, or whatever else they can. think !

Once your children have colored the eggs, you can cut them out and glue them to another sheet of paper. You can even use them to make an Easter garland! The advantage of cutting them out is that it makes them nice and neat if your children have not yet mastered coloring the lines!

Note: I recommend printing the design on cardstock rather than regular printer paper, so your kids’ artwork is more likely to tear, but plain paper will work if you have it all handy .

You can use other colors for this if you want, but I like using black construction paper because chalk on black paper looks so cool!

Print the pattern on black construction paper and the ink should leave a visible outline. Then have your kids use this board to trace Easter egg patterns with chalk!

Depending on the type of printer used and the size of the construction paper, you may need to cut the paper to size. I thought it was letter size, but it turned out to be a little bigger, so I used paper scissors to cut it down to size. I love how quick and easy it was and how clean the cuts are!

If you use one, keep your children away while you use it and keep it out of reach when not in use.

To do this, you need to print an egg on a sheet of paper using my “One per page” template. I used colored construction paper, but you can also use plain white printer paper if you have some handy.

Use a paintbrush to quickly trace the lines with paint, then fold the paper in the middle and press the two halves together. (I recommend pre-folding the paper before coloring.

After opening the paper, you will see an egg mark on the free side. Cut out the printed side or you’ll end up with a beautiful print!

This project is a great way for older kids to practice their scissor skills! You’ll need a printer, a few sheets of pastel cardstock (or any other color you’d like, but I find pastel colors very Pasteur!), scissors, and a regular or disposable school glue stick.

Decide which design you want, print it on two opposing sheets of cardboard and cut out the egg. Choose one for the background, cut the other directly into the black lines, then glue the contrasting pattern to the background. So simple, but I love how it looks!

Print the design on white or colored card stock and use a bottle of white school glue with a fine tip to trace the black lines inside the eggs. Then, while the glue is still wet, sprinkle some glitter.

After drying, you will be left with beautiful shiny eggs that you can decorate further with small gems if you wish. I’ve even included a free Easter egg template for those who want to make their own!

This project does not work with designs with circles, but works great with others! Print the pattern on colored paper or cardboard, cut out the egg and glue it to the sheet of cardboard. Then cut the black lines with sharp scissors.

After cutting all the black lines, the puzzle is ready! Disassemble all the parts and have your kids figure out how to put them together.

Impressive Easter Egg Hunt Flyer Template

You can create multiple puzzles using different colors or create one puzzle in multiple colors so your kids can see how the pieces mix and match! For extra personalization, you can print the design on plain white paper and have your kids color it in before cutting it out.

You can use any color paper for this project depending on the desired effect. I recommend using something stiff like cardboard rather than a regular printer or construction paper.

(Note: you may need to cut the construction paper to size if it’s not the right size for your printer. As mentioned above, I like to use paper scissors to speed up this process.
