. They then record how much they used each form. It’s so much fun watching them organize and play with the shapes to fit them into a triangle.

Count Vertices On 3d Shapes
See how many different ways students can use the pattern blocks to fill in the hexagons. They trace and color pattern blocks and are a great way for a student to practice writing hexagons.
Roll and trace and roll and color games are easy and fun activities to practice 2D shapes and 3D solids. All students need pencils/colors and dyes. They can play together or independently. This makes for an easy center or class activity.
You can print them out for each student or just use your projector and have students do the activities in their journals. I read the problem to my class and we discussed. I give the students permission
I love listening to their conversations and watching them use blocks to solve problems. It’s so much fun watching them draw their own conclusions and click on the light bulb!
