If children do not understand the two-dimensional concept, they will not be able to appreciate and understand three-dimensional shapes and will not be able to control other concepts.

In this edition we have brought some great 2D Sort related worksheets for active young learners. Recognizing two-dimensional shapes is also important for identifying different objects, because children who cannot understand the size of a triangle will not be able to measure it accurately.

The first sheet below asks the child to look at each two-dimensional shape and decide if it is a circle, square, triangle, rectangle or hexagon.
