Print the pattern and use the scraps to cut your felt for the top and brim of the hat. The pattern pieces have two fold lines (so I can fit them on one piece of paper), you can fold your felt twice and line up the two fold lines before cutting OR you can more easily print the pattern twice and tape. identical pieces together as shown below, then you only need to worry about the fold. You will need a top piece and 2 edges.

You also need a rectangular piece of green felt, a black belt and a piece of yellow cufflinks. Use the chart below to cut these pieces to size.
Prepare the belt and buckle by cutting two 1.5-inch slits in the buckle as shown below. You can round the corner of the lock like I did, or leave it square if you prefer.
