Note: you can choose to use one die and pass it back and forth between players, or you can choose to use multiple dice and give each player their own.
To start, print out the Roll a Snowman game and use scissors to cut out the body of the snowman and all the parts of the snowman.
If you have a Cricut Maker or Explore family of machines, we’ve also included a free Print Then Cut version of the snowman parts to make cutting even easier!
Roll A Snowman Activity
Players take turns rolling the dice and building their own snowman. If a player places a number that he has already rolled and picked up, it is his turn and the game moves to the next player. The first person to match all the numbers and build the whole snowman wins!
This fun dice game is a great way for younger children to practice fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and number recognition! After you finish playing the game, store the snowman body parts in a plastic bag to play again another day.

Snowman Activities And Crafts For Preschoolers

The rules are easy! Take turns rolling one die. Match the number on your dice to what you need to roll with your play dough and design your snowman! Whoever finishes their snowman design first wins!
OR you can even play this as a cooperative sensory game! Take turns rolling the dice and work together to decorate the snowman according to the numbers you roll with your dice!
I recommend layering this “Roll a Snowman” play dough mat so it doesn’t stick to your play dough and you can use it over and over again! If you don’t have a laminator, you can use a small piece of wax paper to put your play dough on!

Of course, you’ll need black, red, white, orange, and brown playdough if you want to have the right colors for your snowman! But don’t worry – you can build a snowman with any color match you have! OR you can even make your own homemade playdough here!

I think the most memorable snowman of my childhood was one of my brothers and I made it with the help of our father. I remember we all went out after it was already dark and built a big snowman and then created a whole crime scene around it. My dad pulled out some old yellow caution tape he had lying around to block off the area as “under investigation.”
