Religious Retreat Letters

Religious Retreat Letters – So I would like to know how many people reading this actually have a good idea of what a Kairos retreat is (click here for those who don’t know). But the short description is that this is a religious retreat taken at my high school during our senior year. It’s a very meaningful experience, and one of the traditions of Kairos, or at least our Kairos, was that people who had attended Kairos before would write letters to girls who were currently on retreat and give us the letters to read. in the background during periods of inactivity. Most people wrote a form letter talking about the importance of being open to God and to the experience, but once in a while there was a girl who took the time to write a real letter to every girl of retirement.

One of those girls was named Christine Miller, and she was the prettiest, kindest, most amazing person at our high school. I’ve always liked Christine, but I can’t say that I ever thought we were friends, or that I thought she spent a second thinking about me and forming an opinion about me. , but she did. And what she wrote to me in her letter has a great impact on me. So much so that it’s included in a “special box” that I look at when I’m feeling down. His words were heartfelt enough to share the same space as the letters from my parents and my brother. And there is no evidence that she had no relationship with me whose words would have resonated louder than my mother’s love letter, because she has no reason to say or mean those words. It’s really a great experience to be able to hear what your friends think of you. And Christine’s words have helped me, they’ve comforted me and they’ve helped me pick myself up and keep going, because I know she’s right about how she describes it, and that’s amazing . Listen, nobody but my mother describes me so positively.

“Fritz, you are someone I have always admired…I admire your kindness and your sense of humor, and I really appreciate our friendship. Sometimes I wonder how nothing surprises you, that it’s balance in your school, friends or family I always look forward to talking to you or even meeting you randomly in the halls because I know you are a person with incredible talent… someone you don’t don’t usually cross paths very often in life. Annie… you’re not only a wonderful person, but you have a gift. I really don’t know how to describe it. Seriously, you have so much potential that I’m sure everything what you do in life will make you successful. You deserve the best in everything.”

Sisterhood And Building Up The Church

Many thanks to Christine for taking the time and effort to say these things about me. You are truly an angel. Can I tell you how cute the concept of “sorority” is?!? I remember attending a retreat years ago with young women from all over the country chanting, “Can we do s-i-s-t-e-r-h-o-o-d, sisters?!” “I admit that at first I thought it was corny, but deep down it was one of the greatest moments of my life because I’m still good friends with a lot of these women. (Oh…and we still say it casually, even if we do it for fun ;)) In fact, we know that this strong need for brotherhood is what brought many of us together.

Before this time in my life, girls were my enemies, not my friends. I had a hard time trusting my so-called “friends” who talked easily about me or turned on me when I was in trouble. It was easier for me to be “one of the guys”. I got along better with men and there seemed to be less drama.

But I needed more. I love my male friends, but let’s be honest… there are things they don’t understand about being female.

Since my return, I have opened my heart and met women in my life who have changed everything for me. I found the girls to be not just friends but family. As daughters of our King, I have found true beauty in sisters. I date many different women for different reasons, but I know that every woman I meet is wonderfully and completely integrated into my life. These are the women with whom I laugh, I cry, I pray. We share stories of victory and defeat. We support each other when someone falls in love and heartbreak comes. We build ourselves. We help each other heal.

My Worth Is In God, Not My Relationship Status

However, the most important treasure I have found in fellowship is accountability. There’s certainly nothing more terrifying than sharing your flaws and darkest parts with someone, but find the right women and you’ll find there’s nothing more liberating than this step towards light.

Sisterhood is not about judging, but about helping each other grow in holiness. It’s a love that should be nurturing, but sometimes difficult. Sisters, pray with someone and for someone. It’s about finding someone who will follow you and keep you in the light.

I am lucky to have many such sisters in my life. I am grateful for these Christ-centered relationships that have one goal: to go to heaven and bring everyone you love with you.

Maricris Dizon is 35 years old and works as a marketing manager in a dynamic Catholic ministry with a big heart for everyone who crosses his path. As usual, he started asking questions about my life and my future plans. My naïve young self was proud of my grand plans to enter law school directly after graduation. He immediately left his job, looked me straight in the eye and after a while said: – So it’s going to be hard. You see that all your friends are settled and starting their lives. When they get a job, get married, and have kids, you’ll still be in school. It will be painful. But everything will be fine.”

It’s been closed for two years, folks. I have tasted sweet victories, but only at the cost of a great sacrifice, that is to say, at the will of God, to stop three years in the “regulation”. To sum up my feelings about law school, I will quote the great Abraham Lincoln:

“I fell to my knees several times because I was so convinced that I had nowhere to go.”

Most of my friends are in the working world, married or close to it, and expecting or already have a beautiful baby. It would be an outright lie to say that I dream of none or all of these things. You can’t deny the natural progression of life, folks.

Letter From Senator John Cornyn

Do I wonder if my career choice will cost me the family I’ve always dreamed of? Sure.

But just as the idea of being a wife and mother brings me great joy, so does the idea of practicing law in the great name of God. He knows it. And that’s all the reassurance I need to carry on despite my doubts and fears.

I’m sure you too, my friend, have doubts about the path you’re on. Go to a quiet place and pray this simple prayer with all your heart:
