Pretend Passport Printable – I have been looking for fun ways to teach my kids about continents and world geography. This free printable passport activity “My Continent Passport” is the perfect answer to getting your world geography up and running just in time for National Geography Week. You and your children can create a My Continent Passport using a free passport template and simple instructions. Once the passport craft is assembled, let your little one start filling out pretend printable kid’s passports as they learn about the different continents! This geography craft isn’t just educational, it’s a super cute keepsake.
Start by printing each printable passport page for children included in this article. There are passport covers, passport photo pages and passport craft template sheets for each continent. A passport template for children can be found at the end of this article.
Pretend Passport Printable
Cut a 6″ x 7″ piece of blue cardstock so that when folded it will be a 6″ x 3 1/2″ book.

Then cut out the circle of the passport cover and add it to the front page of each book with hot glue.
You will then need to cut and fold 2 pieces of white paper to be 6 inches x 3 1/2 inches when folded. This will give you 8 pages (with front and back) in your mock passport book.
Thread about 15 inches from the string to the needle. Pass the needle and string through the book as shown.
Step 1. Put the needle and thread through the center of the white glass and back out of the blue. Be sure to keep a “tail” of thread inside the book to tie it out at the end.

Step 2. Pass the needle back through the blue, about 2″ to either side of the middle and back through the white.
Step 3. Feed the needle again through the same center hole used first and come out again.
Step 4. Put the needle and thread again through the blue, this time about 2″ to the other side of the center.
Cut out a passport photo page and a printable passport template page for each continent and paste on each white page in the passport craft book. Now each child will have their own pass (that is, a play pass and not a real pass)!
Pretend Play Passport
Once the passport craft is complete, your child can begin personalizing the free printable passport activity book. Have your children paste their photo on the passport photo page. Then proceed to have them fill in details about themselves including their full name and date of birth. The photo and personal information page of a child’s passport is a great opportunity to explain to children that each country issues a passport to its citizens after filling out a passport application. Citizenship is usually based on place of birth so if your children are born in the US they are US citizens.
As you teach the children about the different continents, they can add information to the blank pages for each continent. Have them write the major countries and capitals of each continent on a two-sided spread.
Talk about the weather and things that each continent is known for geographically. Introduce them to world culture and some interesting facts about different countries.
You can even have them earn “visa stamps” for filling pages with basic knowledge about foreign countries or for completing a country research project. They can also get passport stamps to depict the flags of different countries on the side of the continent.
