It’s a sewing pattern with complete instructions for making a plush from start to finish, including step-by-step pictures and a printable pattern. It includes additional information on fabric selection, getting started tools, pattern printing, and fabric cutting. This project is not recommended for true beginners, but I’ll do my best to explain everything in detail for those fake beginners who want a challenge 🙂

As with all CK patterns, this one has gorgeous full-color illustrations for each key step and extras for tricky steps. The written instructions are also clear, helpful and consistent. I love the variety of possibilities you can create with this model, with all the cute combinations and matching facial features. I ended up not using this pattern for my original project because the bounded group * is not an array and you can’t use enough to make it look like one. It was my fault for not processing the recorded images as well as I could have, because this model is a joy. I made the main body shape (R pictured; actual ball/sphere on L) and it was very easy to sew. I used a medium stretch flannel. I could make the legs/face go forward and just have a nice octopus on top of another project I had planned! 10/10!

I like these models. They are very easy to follow and have helpful tips. The octopus was a little more difficult because Pride had a different color for each leg, but that’s it for me. 🙂

Cute and light plush octopus! I had a hard time getting the legs to stay in place while sewing, so I hot glued a few dots to hold them in place while I sewed. Edited to add: I made the octopuses as a party favor and they were a hit. I also found the CholyKnight site and sew free plush patterns and I love this shop. These patterns are so easy to follow and always turn out cute plushies. I’m already planning what to get my kids for Christmas! Love this seller! (Especially love the free Ghibli models!!)
