Great craftsmanship on this transformation! The original art design and matchmaking is spot on, and any non-original art additions are properly implemented! Another cool thing is that you can watch these games and changes on his Instagram! I highly recommend checking it out there and picking up some violas for yourself!!

This card has been a pain point in my “good” deck for a while, it doesn’t have a foil version or some kind of alternate art or extended border printing. This hand drawn extension is well made and powerful! Great for me in the bling department, thank you!!
Absolutely amazing transformation!! It also came with a modified terrain to match the aesthetic of the card I ordered!! Amazing touch! I will definitely be ordering more changes soon!
SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO. So, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, Sokae, to open the package and smell the color – see details. This has been my week

That’s where you take a card from the Collecting Magic game and replace the art printed on the card with a new one. I have been making and selling them on Ebay for about four years. I’m lucky if I make fifty dollars a month doing this, but I can use PayPal money for other things.
Some people make original art as their modified art cards. They draw directly on the original image. It takes a lot of time and energy, so I make my own using my printer to print on card. It sounds simple, but there are many steps involved and things can go wrong at any time.
I follow the process I saw on YouTube. It’s easy to find if you’re looking for it. I stumbled upon it one day, never even heard of modded art cards. I was an MTG player in the 1990s and 2000s, but haven’t touched the game much since then. I still have a lot of cards sitting around so I had some raw material for altered art cards. One day I decided to try. I find it funny.
The first thing to do is remove the front of the card using acetone (nail polish remover). The video shows them doing it with a scar, but it didn’t work for me. This took a lot of effort and was very imprecise. So the first thing I do is mask the area that I want to stay straight with the frisket. It is thin plastic with one sticky side. I stick it where I want the card to be protected and clean.

After the card masks I use an electric sander, a piece of cloth and acetone to remove the original ink. It takes time. It’s faster than scratching the fabric onto the card by hand. I do this in a well ventilated area (garage with an open garage door) and it requires recoating the fabric with acetone. Often this is not enough. I also have to wipe a cotton swab dipped in acetone around the edge of the frisket to remove any ink that sticks to that edge. Also, sometimes there is stubborn ink that won’t come out and I have to hit it with 600 grit sandpaper. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes to erase four cards.
After the part of the card I want to print is white, I need to prepare the printing ground. The first step is to spray the card with fixative. This is the easy part because it comes in a spray bottle. I need a brush for the next two parts. I use a one inch flat brush. First I paint a thin layer of glass and tile and after it dries, I paint a thin layer of inkjet. That’s three layers before the card is ready to print. And I don’t want the brush strokes to show, so I put a few drops and they go from top to bottom and then side to side over and over. This softens and releases air bubbles. I really have to be careful when I do this.
I have a photo I want to print on a card set in Photoshop. All this is a process in itself. My most popular card (even the only popular card) is the Batman beating Robin meme on the Counterspell card. I had to redraw it, scan it, color it, and put it to print.
I set it up to print to place the image in the center of the 8.5×11 inch document. I then print the outline of the card onto a piece of the same size card. I then take the actual card and glue it to the paper inside the outline. Now when I print the photo it matches the card on the paper. Often it does. Things can go easy here and there
