Here are some activities you can do to earn money in your spare time. Lifeguard: There are several pools in the greater Hinsdale area. If you want to work at a pool in Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Woods or any country club, you’re in for a treat if you have a safety certificate. Some places even allow training and certification after employment. It’s a great place to sunbathe, gain work experience, and relax in the summer. Babysitters and Babysitters: Working families are always looking for babysitters, and their children may need long-term babysitters as they go on summer vacation. If you work well with children and are responsible enough to ensure their safety, babysitting is a great job for you. It’s a good salary (tax not deducted) and you get to bond with the children you care for. Food Service: Portillo’s, Chipotle, and Jamba Juice are always looking for students during recess to help run their businesses. With these restaurants and many other great eateries in downtown Willowbrook, you can earn money from the places you grew up eating. Lawn Mowing/Heat Work: Local kids are always in demand by high-priced landscaping companies. If you have experience with yard work, you can spend a few hours a week tending the neighborhood lawn. Cudding: Hinsdale is dominated by country clubs and golf courses. In the summer, biking is a great way to hit the golf course and pick up some crazy tips. Musicians: If you’re into music, many local bars and restaurants are looking for bands and musicians to entertain their patrons. Anything from the workplace outside of counseling. Employers are posted here specifically to interest teenagers in their work. And the jobs on the board are different from many different jobs and you can find it easily. If you have no other plans, working over the summer is a great place to start. It only takes a small part of your time, but it will bring you money and work experience.
