2. Trace the face of the lantern with a marker, then cut it out with a knife. Cut a hole in the back of the pumpkin large enough to fit the light battery. Turn on the light.
3. To create each post, drill a pilot hole through the center of the wooden plate and through one of the ends of the lid. Secure both by screwing the screw through the plate into the dowel.
4. Paint the rod and plate black and let dry. Hot glue the jack-o’-lantern to the plate. Apply a coat of polyurethane to all projects for protection.
