A quick check to make sure your shape is correct is to measure the length of each side with your ruler. If you did it right, all sides will measure the same!
Using colored paper allows your child to start experimenting with triangles. The first step is to encourage your child to color adjacent triangles of the same color, until the shape starts to look like a ‘thing’.
