Free Bunny Sewing Pattern – A bunny pattern doesn’t have to be so difficult. This is super simple. Simple enough that the youngest could sew them!

So, I thought Easter was sneaking up on us and all, and I really liked the bunny pattern that Eliza was able to sew on her own.

But I can easily whip up a few of these bunnies and put them in a basket and call it good…which by the way reminds me that I need to buy candy for Sunday hunting. To make things easier for you, and since I’ve already sewn mine, I’ve put together a quick rundown of all the bunnies you might like.

Need a free template? There are various options and all use different materials such as: fur, felt, shrunken wool sweaters, cotton.

There are bunnies with feet, scarves, floppy ears, button eyes, some embroidery… I’m sure you can find one to suit your style and let’s face it: your stash!

Teddy Bunny Rabbit Sewing Pattern Pdf And Tutorial

Chubby Bunny comes with 1/4 inch (6 mm) seam allowance, which includes the seam allowance if you prefer to sew patterns without seam allowance. The finished bunny is approximately 5.5″, 9″ tall including the ears. Woolen fabric (polyester or natural) is recommended, but the pattern can also be sewn with minky, velvet or even lightweight knitted sherpa if you are an experienced sewer. (The bunny shown in the main photo is made with organic cotton and hemp wool.)

I have made kits if you would like to make your own bunny using organic fabric. Basic fabric kits come with organic cotton/hemp down and a choice of organic print fabric. All fabrics are washed with organic fragrance-free detergent and steam ironed (find out more about my organic fabrics here).

Deluxe kit comes with everything in the fabric kit plus coordinating organic cotton thread, hemostat clamps (for turning and stuffing), and a 5-inch dolly needle.
