Flower Pop Up Card Templates – I created this paper pop flower pattern for a fun card making project using the Cricut Cutter.
I don’t know why, but the cards appear to be more fun than the second type. Maybe a surprise?
Flower Pop Up Card Templates
I’ve wanted to make a flower card for a while, but it took me a while because the design is a bit complicated.
Blooming Flowers Pop Up Card
I’ve seen a lot of flower card designs pop up on the internet and they seem too complicated with lots of holes and hidden handles. I’m just confused so I just designed it.
My design is not so simple. This is the same sticker that you stick on so it’s not too bad. So if you’re up for a little challenge, let’s get started!
Cardstock – I like to use light weight cardstock with colored handles for the flower section. Here are some of my favorite brands.
Glue – I usually don’t like using polymer glue to make paper because it sticks to the paper. However, for this project, it provides the best strength after drying. You can also use a hot glue gun.

I would like to use new mats to finish this job. It makes cleaning easier. You can also create different color combinations with stamens and leaves. The monochromatic look is also nice.
Try to use flowers as much as possible. Fold the top flap and tuck it in. Press and hold for a few seconds.

This is the most complicated step, but once you solve it, the next part is easy. The flowers range from short clusters (straight across the flower) on the outer whorl to the highest point of the petal, the inner whorl.
Start with the widest/shortest flower size and insert the next layer of flowers. Fold the outer sheet.
Attach the outer panel to the outer edge of the flowerpot. Not all buttons fit perfectly. Just use the center flower and leave the other side in place.
Perform the button press operation for the middle section. This is when the size decreases with larger and larger piles surrounded by smaller piles.

At this point, you will have thick skins that may interfere with each other. I like to use a paper towel to hold it as it dries.
Close the card and put something heavy on it while it dries to keep everything in place. I recently found some beautiful floral cards online. I really like how they look, but as a designer, my thoughts made me think about how to do a DIY project like I did last month with my new crochet tutorial !
I received many requests in my Facebook group for me to design similar ideas that can be done by hand. Nine failed experiments Finally I came up with a working design.
In today’s tutorial I will teach you how to make these flower pop cards. These pop-up flower cards are perfect for Mother’s Day or any occasion! While these cards may be more advanced for kids, I have some more kid-friendly designs for you here!

Admittedly these pop-up cards look less “perfect” than store-bought cards because I’m not a computer or machine maker. Anyway, I’m really happy with the results and I think you will be too! To say that you can put love into the system using this type of card is truly an achievement!
While it’s recommended to use your Cricut machine to make this pop-up flower card, you can also print a PNG image and cut it out with a pair of scissors. New to Cricut? Read frequently asked questions and answers here!
