Felt Minion Pattern – As promised, today is the Australian release of Despicable Me 2 so here’s a planned post while I’m away! God willing, this post will be somewhere in Switzerland!
As you may or may not have seen on this blog, I posted a copy of Despicable Me Minion by Stephanie (from All About Ami) in October. At that time, I mentioned that my little cousin loved minions so much that she requested them. Considering that it was a few months before Christmas then – I had enough time to make one as a Christmas present. Above are my first and second minions! You can see that both click on the “wrong” side. That’s because I didn’t know the difference at the time.

My cousin wanted a minion with one eye, so I adapted Stephanie’s shape a bit – adding a few circles to make the base (and top) of the Minion’s body and reduce the height. I made the glasses a little bigger. Other than those changes, I kept the Minion’s legs and arms as well as Stephanie’s original.

My cousin named him Minion – Bobby. He seemed to enjoy it even though Bobby knew I was doing it for him.
Want to see Despicable Me 2? I hope he shows it on the flight home! If not, I’ll have to check when I get back. 🙂

Call me cheap, but I wanted minion balloon weights, but I didn’t want to pay $11 for each minion stuffed animal at the store, so I decided to make my own. . . This is my son’s 3rd birthday. This is a fun project for your kids to make birthday decorations or have fun with them (use Elmer’s glue instead of a hot glue gun.)
Cut all your designs in the appropriate colors. Set up your template for listening to make this step easier.

Step 2. Take the regular straps, then put the fabric over the straps and fasten them.
Step 3. Install and fasten the glass belt. Now assemble a circle of colored glass, add a dab of hot glue to the face and glue it on.
Step 4. Take your 2nd yellow piece behind the back and tie the yellow sleeve to your hand so it looks like you are wearing yellow gloves. When you attach the 2nd yellow body part to the back, you can fill the shoes, arms and top with polyfill.
Step 5. Take hands and shoes. Fill with polyfill and cover the top. You did it! About: Check out my blog about my fashion, art, and general badass: http://modmischief.blogspot.com/ More on ModMischief »
Stuff Susie Made: Mini Minion Keyring Crochet Pattern
I have been playing Minion Paradise for a long time recently, so when I saw a good Mr. Potato Head game online, I immediately thought of making a minion version.
This game contains small separated parts that can be dangerous. If you are making this for a baby who likes to eat chunks, skip the changing mouthfuls and other small chunks.
I got the minion birthday invitation svg by Grealish Greetings and used it as a base for my artwork.
There are many options for Minion costumes, but I went with the first two Despicable Me items.
My 2 Eyed Minion Step By Step Tutorial
I used a laser cutter to cut the metal. You can also use a cutting machine like a Silhouette or Cricut with a knife, or cut everything by hand.
First I made a pattern out of some colored cardboard to figure out where to put the different colored cardboard. Then I put the metal and cut the pieces.
Before you cut all your pieces, you’ll test the settings to get them right. I’ve noticed that different parts of the felt require different textures because they melt more easily than others.
Most removable parts will need to be cut in half to make the front and back pieces.
Felt Masks For Despicable Me Minion Party
Now that you have your creation, you can decorate it with pictures, beads, or any other details of your choice.
I used a variety of stitches including running stitch, double stitch, whip stitch, and lazy stitch.
To make the fire skirt, I cut short pieces of green fabric and tied them around the waist. Then I covered myself with a whip.
I added some details to the dress and French hat and used slip stitch to design the bow.
Handmade Felt Minion
For the fruit head, I used Mata-Tac glue to hold the small vines and all the fruit.
I used velcro because I think it will prevent the pieces from getting lost. The soft side of the velcro was applied to the minion’s body and the hard side was placed in the removable section. Eventually I want to make a cabinet to hold all the minion parts with velcro.
I couldn’t find yellow velcro so I cut the black velcro to look like hair and mouth and used white velcro for the bottom of the body.

With this minion craft, you can make a mini pen that works well as a doll.
Choose yellow, blue, black and white colors for this art. Trace the shape of the stencil over the selected view.
First cut out the front (yellow) and then use the black line. Place a horizontal line over the yolk.
Then place the small circle (black) on the middle circle (white) and place the center on the big circle.
The Geeky Knitter: Minion Phone Cover
Place 3 small circles (on top of each other) and place them in the middle of the dark line.
Take the bottom and start sewing on one side. I used a soft cotton thread.
Sew in all directions. Tie a knot or two and cut off any extra string.
Usage: Put a nice sentiment on a pen or pencil or a nice marker. It can even work as hand puppets for little fingers!
