Easter Bunny Face Paint

This design can be done very quickly if needed, just paint a light outline on the forehead and a quick flower in the center.

Hand Embroidery Or Painting Bunny Face Pattern

Using Superstar Lilac and a medium bristle brush, I create the nose area, rounding it off and simply extending it through the smile lines. When I pull the shape towards the forehead, I narrow it down a bit.

Now the ears can be painted and I will make sure they are bent at a 45 angle to the focal points of the inner corner. There should be some paint left on the brush, perfect for drybrushing the bristles between and under the ears.

First I applied TAG Neon Coral Blush to the side and blended with the back of the sponge.

I then use the Jest Paint Splash Sponge and TAG Fairy Floss to fill in the eye area and the center of the ear. I like to lay the rainbow cake on the long, sharp edge of the sponge and work on that sharp edge for precision.

If some of this color gets onto the purple base, it can be easily removed with a little more purple color from the brush used on the base. I add gloss right after applying the color and apply it precisely with my finger.

Now I paint the flowers and leaves using the double dip method. I load the Flora Flat Brush very well with Wolfe White, Tag Light Blue and Mehron Wild Orchid.

Starting from the central focal point, I paint a flower with 3 double petals, with one petal focused at the bottom and the other two petals at the top.

To make a double petal, I make one petal and while rotating a bit, pick up the brush and make a second petal. You will find this methodology in the twofold advanced module of the school curriculum! I add a leaf on either side of the flower.

I use the same Flora flat brush and mostly work with the tip of the brush to make the leaves look small and whimsical. A flat flora brush works great for this as you can achieve sharper leaves with the finer side of the bristles.

Using Global Lime Green and Dark Green, I create a cluster of rounded petals on either side of the petals, making sure the petals are tapered at the tips.

This gives a good composition with the largest element in the middle and smaller elements on the sides.

For the circles under the eyes I created smaller double petals and pointed petals and emphasized the line around the nostril corner by pulling it up a bit.

Then, using a Paint Pal Little Drop brush, I paint an elongated heart shape for the nose and fill in the sides of the lips with Fairy Floss Cake Pink. I used a brush on my lips but it’s better if you paint the client with a Q-tip.

I now color the highlights with Mehron White which gives soft highlights as opposed to Waxy White which gives a lighter shine.

Painting the highlights now helps map the linework, and you can later add a heavier highlight over it.

I also used this white color to paint the bunny’s teeth, leaving the teeth on the bottom lip to make sure they aren’t too big for this cute bunny, you can use a cotton swab for this.

For the dots I also use the pretty yellow from the Fairy Floss cake. I’m going to make different groups of dots in the middle of the flowers and around the flowers. These points serve as a small element in the bouquet, adding flow to focal points.

Now it’s time to paint a thin outline around the entire design. I use Global Purple and Bolt BrushRound #1 for this. The brows are almost covered in paint, so I wanted to outline the eyes by painting a circular line from the inner corner to the outer corner.

I touch the line below the brow bone to lift the eye. Now you can draw the nose and add it to the line that delimits the eyes.

I finish the outline with the ears and I also very lightly draw the base of the flowers and some leaves. I also draw the base of the nose and create a “cleft lip” look by using an inverted teardrop from it, flicking the brush and creating a small triangle shape from the base of this teardrop.

The points for the mushroom start large and get smaller, going towards the middle of the parted lip line.

Now for the final points! I added fine whiskers using a #1 bolt brush and Wolfe White. I also used the rest of the paint on the brush to add some bright highlights to the ears and fur.

The rest of the pieces are optional, but if you have the time, they’ll take this design to the next level!

Toe Dauber and Wolfe White, I sponged BAM template #1035 in the center of the ear.

Chunky Glitter is a quick way to add colorful dots. In this design I added a small amount around the flower clusters.

I also used a small blending brush dampened with a baby wipe to lightly shade the ear. This can be a great way to correct linear errors and will certainly have a deeper impact on the design.

For many people, the Easter/Purim season is the busiest time of the year. Last weekend I did 5 events and the first requested faces were bunnies! So I decided to collect all my favorite Easter inspirations into one blog post to get you inspired in time for the Easter weekend.

One of my lifesavers at super intense events was rainbow cake and a pink stencil. As I was looking for Easter inspiration binders, I remembered a video I made a few years ago that combined rainbow cakes and stencils. Stencils are very useful because they allow you to design quickly without affecting the end result. If you want to laugh and learn, watch this video where I paint Leah with stencils and rainbow cakes.

After years of painting without a display board, I decided to make up for Easter last year. I assembled a simple board and laminated it. It was a HIT! The kids loved seeing the themed designs and my clients were amazed at how organized and prepared I was. It has helped me use up all the supplies I bought for the vacation. I had mountains of Easter stencils and ideas to try, but if a child doesn’t see the design, they won’t ask for it. This year I updated my board and share it with you. CLICK HERE TO PRINT AND USE. It’s hard to find time to paint, photograph and design a scoreboard. I hope this board will help make Easter coloring events fun and challenging by trying new designs. The only things you need if you want to use this board are the bunny head stencil and the fancy daisy stencil.

Lily Santoya, who paints a sparrow’s face, has prepared a breathtaking spectacle for the Easter season. All of her designs are amazing!

Party Allure’s Vanessa Petroni loved the bunny princess design on the design board and raved about her winning version.
