Step 1 To make the pompom bow, first wrap the ribbon into a loop. For the pom pom, which is about 15 cm in diameter, we made a ring about 10 cm. Our pompon will have 14 loops, so we wrapped the ribbon 7 times. Tip: If you want more twists in the pom-pom, twist it a few more times. After wrapping the ribbon, cut the ends at an angle as this will create the tails of your pom poms. (Figures 1-2)

Step 2 Once you have your loop, fold both sides of the ribbon into the center and divide the loop in half. (Figures 2-5)

Step 3 Cut 2 corners of the folded area with your scissors, leaving about 1 cm, being careful not to cut too much. Tip: Make sure you use a sharp pair of scissors to ensure a clean and easy cut. Once you’ve cut the ribbon, unfold it to reveal your cut in the center. (Figures 6-8)

Step 4 Next, cut a thin ribbon about 20 cm and attach it to the tent to tie the ribbon together. Tie the circle twice so it doesn’t come back. You should now have two sides of the ring. (Figures 9-10)

Step 5 Now comes the hard part, starting from one side of the ribbon, grab one of the loops and pull it away from the others. Release the door and turn. For ends of alternate left and right loops: Hold the other loops to help pull. (Figures 11-13)

Step 6 Complete one side and continue releasing loops before repeating on the opposite side. (Figure 14)

Step 7 After removing all the loops, continue pulling the loops back into place to create the desired shape. Animate the loops by separating the two loops. (Figures 14-15)

Step 8 Your pom pom is now complete. Cut the excess ribbon from the tails and use ribbon to tie it to a gift or use ribbon to tie a vase, the options are endless.
