I was appointed chairman of the Boy Scouts committee a month before the Blue and Gold Party. And I’m so nervous! I’ve never been in charge of a big dinner like this before. and don’t know where to start Fortunately, I have a great board. And we can pull together the big blue and gold.
We know that before we do anything else. We needed a theme. We used the “Scout is one of the minions!” selection (a comedy show from the movie “Despicable Me” — and the kids loved it!). The family has been on their calendars. One board member invited these and they were perfect. (You can download this invitation—delete date and time—here. Edit it in PicMonkey by adding a text box with your date and time. That’s all!

We can donate lettuce and pork from local restaurants. (Check with local restaurants and see what they want! The Boy Scout organization is well known and loved) Preparing food is very burdensome! We bought rolls, the leaders brought salads, jello and corn. Then we had Texas cheesecake and ice cream for dessert. Dinner is very simple, but very good!
We want the decorations to be sophisticated. We made a yellow tablecloth with a blue basket as a centerpiece. The blue basket contains napkins, forks, and knives. We made the balloons look like minions by attaching yellow and blue balloons to the basket and tape them to the minion glass.
We have balloon arches built by people in our ward. And it looks amazing! Although we kept the decoration simple. But the balloon arch makes the cultural hall impressive.
When the family arrives We placed an activity sheet on each table containing a general questionnaire about the Boy Scouts. It’s a fun and friendly activity for people. You can find a copy of our questionnaire here.

After dinner we played the game “Minion to Win It”! We want to make it easy So we do the following:
We’re giving out Oreo cookies to everyone who wants to participate. And they have 1 minute to get the cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands.
One person launches marshmallows using a plate. (Which hung halfway over the table) to his team members. which caught marshmallows in a cup
Overall we thought it was a good evening. Everything is simple, but Cub Scouts love it! Not to mention we put it in an hour. Here are some ideas for printing cute blue and gold party invitations: They look like necks so it really adds to the fun. Ready to type, add words and give.

I’m not sending an invitation in Word, but trying to create a separate form in Word that will give you the words to change and be able to type your own text. But I don’t know how to rotate the text. I don’t think you can do this in Word 2007 if anyone knows how to do this in Word or another program so anyone can edit it. (And if you’re willing to share), post a message and let us know. And I’ll post it here for everyone to use.

I added these pictures to a poster board in my lion’s den that was made for their prestigious adventure. I think the pictures look great and are very easy to print. I plan to add our pack numbers and more scout pictures to the board.
