Cub Scout Blue And Gold Cake Ideas – A Blue and Gold Local Banquet celebrated the accomplishments of Cub Scout Pack 277 of Ponte Vedra Beach and the anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.
The awards dinner featured a breakthrough ceremony at Christ Episcopal Church on Friday, February 14. The event included 115 scouts, from 5 to 11 years old and seven den leaders. Fourteen Scouts have earned the Arrow of Light Award, which is the highest award in Cub Scouts before transitioning to BSA Scouts.

“Cub Scouts is driven by parents and leaders,” Weinberg said. “Boy Scouts are scout-led (in any way). During the transition, we let the boys try to run some of their meetings, where they’ll name someone in charge and delegate responsibilities. They’ve worked really hard for it. .”
Weinberg said his scouts hosted an event at the Harlem Globetrotter exhibit, an overnight campout at the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Stadium and SeaWorld, beach cleanups and hurricane relief donations in the Bahamas. At the banquet, the Scouts were collecting food for the San Juan County Animal Shelter.
This year’s Scouts who have moved on to BSA Scouts include: Spencer York, Jackson Bohsali, Ethan Weinberg, Nicholas Olumo, Andrew Loo, Ethan Osborne, Carter Stoltz, Rafay Bajwa, Conner Blalock, Forrest Lindow, Noel BePuy, Austin Barber, Seth Dowling and Ryan Tawk.
Ethan Weinberg was the Webelos 2 Den Leader and is looking forward to joining BSA Scouts for camping (no adults). “We go into the woods and it’s led by the scout, so we’re not with the parents,” Weinberg said. “I will be a leader (for the BSA troop).”
