I participated in the Mom Blog Tour Sweets & Snacks Expo (#MomBlogTourFF) on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers. I received Celebration of Frey products to facilitate my post, but my opinions and creative content are my own.

Planning A Baby Shower: Your Ultimate How To Guide

Several years ago, when I was hosting my daughter’s baby shower, I discovered how quickly expenses can add up! By the time I started doing event favors, I was a little skeptical about the high cost of the items. With both my time and budget limited, I looked for a simple solution and finally settled on a compromise that was nice, but ultimately fell short of my “quick and easy” criteria.

I wish I knew about Frey’s celebration. With their wonderfully colorful candies, you can easily create festive buffets and favors to match your event. I had the opportunity to explore the entire product line and discuss ideas with an expert mixologist at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo.

From shimmer sixlets candies to sports themed gumballs, Frey’s Celebration offers a fun, innovative line for your decorating, baking and party needs. They also inspired my crafty DIY mind to come up with amazing ideas for upcoming baby shower buffets.

Frey’s Celebration is one of six flagship brands owned by Streetworks Confections, LLC. Their mission is to provide candy in every color imaginable for your party, candy buffet, baking needs and more, following the latest trends to deliver candy creations that customers love. They are sure to work with beautiful candy creations that make any scene special.

For my upcoming parties, I wanted to think a little outside the candy buffet box to come up with some clever ideas that combine crafting with candy. Below are instructions for three super easy, quick ideas for putting together candy buffet accents. Each will “wow” your guests and help make the event memorable. You can pull it all together in minutes with minimal supplies, but everyone will think you put a lot of time and effort into putting together a great display!

Whether you want to announce the baby’s gender, personalize it with the mom-to-be’s name, or add an eye-catching detail, a sign on your baby shower chocolate buffet adds a nice personal touch. With some cute decorations from Frey Shimmer Gumballs, a glue gun, and some supplies from your local dollar store, you can put together a great centerpiece that will also serve as a post-event keepsake.

Insert the baby shower greeting card into the photo frame. Place inside the frame mat. Use double-sided tape to secure the cover to the back of the frame. (If you choose a greeting card with raised decorations, like I did, remove the glass from the front of the frame and place it straight on the back of the frame before attaching the back of the frame.)

Use a glue gun to glue each bead to the outer edge of the frame. You can use one color or change multiple colors as shown. Continue gluing gumballs around the frame until the outer edge is completely covered. And… viola! Here’s an amazingly cute baby shower tray to use for your baby shower chocolate buffet!

Baby Shower Favors

Customize your sign by creating a 5×7 sign using computer software instead of using a pre-made baby shower card.

I love a floral centerpiece for any occasion. Whether you use real or silk flowers for this quick and easy chocolate flower display, it’s always sweet and adds a classic spring note to your buffet.

Layered gumballs and sixlets in glass vase A celebration of Frey, alternating gumballs with sixlets. I chose traditional white, baby blue and pink colors for the baby shower. You can use any color scheme that suits your event, and there are many options with all the colors of Fray’s Celebration. You can also choose to use a solid color. By replacing gumballs with sixlets, you add visual interest, even if you’re only using one color.

Place the flowers as desired. Rods slide easily through gumballs and six-slot stacks, allowing you to quickly create a beautiful arrangement.

I love the idea of champagne or specialty cocktails at parties, it adds a fun party element. However, most baby showers take place in the afternoon and most mothers-to-be avoid alcohol during pregnancy, so a mock bubbly with these lovely chocolate champagne treats is the treat of the day.

With the ribbon, tie a bow around the stem of the cocktail glass near the bottom of the glass. If you have a baby shower theme, use a second ribbon to secure to the stem of the glass, just as you would add a wine charm.
