Blank Printable Monthly Budget Worksheet – One of my goals for the beginning of 2016 is to update the Home Management Printable Binder for myself and all of you. I tried to plan where to start and when to start, and decided that most sections could wait until after the holidays, but I wanted to make sure that the financial section, especially the budget statements, were ready to go before the new year started.
I think budgeting is one of the most boring parts of being an adult. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good budget. I can fully appreciate the purpose they serve. These accounts will not pay!

However, I find it a bit tiring. I realize that no matter what I do with the printables, it really won’t change for me, but I still had fun putting them together.
Simple Budget Template In Word
This time I decided to make room to update our budget every month. That way I can not only see at a glance how we are doing, but also track any of our spending patterns.
My goal with these printables is to help us make sure we are on top of our finances and hopefully learn to better understand them and plan accordingly. They are really direct.
In typical Scattered Squirrel fashion, I kept them simple. You know me, I like things simple, and I think that is especially important when dealing with money and numbers. Too many distractions can be a bad thing.
First of all, the title page. You can use this as a section divider in your planner, a folder for home management, or as a cover for your financial planner. Or you can choose not to use it all, the choice is yours.

There are three pages in the monthly family budget. Each page has space to track your budget for four months.
Unlike my last printable family budget, I chose not to fill in certain sections. This way you can customize each section to fit your budget style.
For example, when it comes to our car, I lump all these expenses together. I don’t keep separate sections for insurance, fuel and maintenance, it’s all in CAR for me.
Just click on the image below to get a copy of all four pages OR if you want each individual page, just click on the image above the one you want. Whatever works best for you.

Way back when I made my first home management folder, I hadn’t figured out how to make a half size printable. This time I am determined to offer all new in a reduced version.
Sometimes this can mean that the layouts are slightly different, and sometimes it can mean that double-sided printing presents some challenges, but I’m happy to say that as far as the monthly printing budget is concerned, I’ve been able to keep it the same Layout and place them so they can easily be double-sided.
Personally, I don’t think I would print the budget pages double-sided because I like to have room to scribble things down. Things like one of the boys going through a growth spurt, which means extra spending on new clothes and/or shoes.
It’s nice to have these notes to see what’s going on, but I don’t think they’re necessary. For those who want to push back, you can of course.

As with the full size version, you can click on the image above to view each page individually, or click on the image below for the bundled version. This option makes it easier to print pages side by side.
Whether you use these budget printables to plan your budget each month or just use them to keep track of what’s in and what’s out, I think they’re an important addition to a home management system. Being able to see what’s happening with your finances will help you stay on track, whatever your financial goals are.
I would like to hear your opinion. What do you think about budget printed materials? Do you think they will be useful to you in the new year?
