Before using this chore chart for your family, you’ll want to create a daily to-do list. Then decide who will take care of each.

As I mentioned earlier, we assign children age-appropriate activities. It just depends on their age and what they are capable of.
You don’t have to divide the chore list equally, because let’s face it – a 10-year-old can handle more than a 5-year-old!
My kids (mostly) willingly do their homework without complaining because they understand the reason for it.
Some parents choose to combine rewards with homework. We are not. Jobs are actually part of our benefits system (maybe not in the way you think)! We do not pay for homework. Rather, we expect children to do their homework and then get special help.

As they get older, we can think about finding ways to earn money from them, but for now (ages 10, 8, and 6), we won’t mind homework.

Include all family members: even preschoolers and toddlers. They can do the most basic tasks to learn to help.
A child who learns to clean a plate at the dinner table can then learn to clean the entire counter, then the kitchen… the increasing responsibilities are like building blocks.

If your kids are old enough, they can help you make this to-do list and divide up the tasks so that everyone gets in on it.
If you want to use the same list every week instead of reprinting it, you can make a dry-erase worksheet by putting it in a protective plastic printable and using dry-erase markers.
Once you’ve prepared a list of household chores and divided them among family members, it’s time to fill out this family responsibilities chart.
This chart allows you to check off tasks throughout the week, so if that’s easiest for you, anyone can use the same chart. (that’s what I do).

This works great if you have multiple children as it allows you to quickly see who is who
Fulfill their obligations. At the end of the week, you can reflect on the chart and decide if any changes need to be made before completing a new free printable business chart template next week.
One member may have too many roles, while another should have fewer.
Best of all, a new printable PDF worksheet is saved every week. Make changes as you see fit so everyone can work together happily.
Family Chore Charts Free Printable
Keep a good chart of family activities on the fridge with a magnet so that it is always visible to everyone.
It will be a great reminder so that no one forgets what to do to help around the house.
Plus, it helps teach your kids responsibility because everyone is responsible for checking the chart to make sure assignments are done.
If you prefer a version that doesn’t require printing, I’ve also found some great alternatives for you on Amazon. I used one very similar to the “I Did” below when my kids were in preschool and they loved it!
