How To Make Origami Ribbon
What we love about this paper bow is that it is so easy to make that even small children can participate. Plus, you only need minimal supplies to make them; paper, scissors and glue! It’s also a great project for kids to practice their scissor skills because it involves a lot of cutting.

Take a piece of A4 paper and fold it in half vertically. Fold in half again. Now cut this sheet of paper along the fold you just got.
Divide the strips into two groups of 4 each. Take a set and cut out about 4 cm. You will now have one set of long notes and one set of short notes. >
Take a strip of paper and glue the tips together to form a circle. Then put some glue in the circle and stick it on the opposite side to form a figure 8.

Let’s also make these 8 shapes from other strips of paper. You will get four large 8’s and four small 8’s.
Apply some glue to the middle of the 8 shapes. Start gluing them one by one. Start with the big one, then the small one, as shown in the image below.
Once all 8 shapes are pasted, make a small roll of paper and glue it in the middle of the bow. (You can use the leftover paper from step 2. 🙂 )
Just a small step away! Take another sheet of paper and cut two strips out of it. Make sure they are the same width as the strips of paper we just used for the bow.

Glue them together at the tips to form a V shape. And take a small V shape from both ends.

2. Make folds inside the page according to the diagram shown. You must fold the square diagonally horizontally and vertically and in both directions.
3. Lay the paper flat and open on the surface and flip its sides so it looks like a diamond. Begin to press the outer left and right corners towards the bottom of the diamond. Press the top of the diamond down and flat as well. You should now have a smaller diamond.

4. Take the upper closing point of the small diamond and fold it down (about 1 cm) to form a small triangle. Then fill out the paper. Lift it up and fold it again to the other side fold. Then open your origami paper back to the starting point. You will notice a square crease in the center of your sheet. Carefully fill the edge of that small square by folding the paper slightly over the edge.
5. Next, bend the edges of the paper gently around the square, centering the small square in the middle. Press the sides of the square in so you can make an hourglass-like shape. Then place the hourglass shape by bringing the top and bottom edges together. You should stay with a flat rhombus shape, except the vertices should be a flat line.
6. Recreate the full diamond shape by bending the top left and top right sides of the diamond toward the center. Flip over and do the same on the other side. Next, separate the bottom corners on both sides of the diamond and gently pull them apart while gently pressing the top corners with your thumbs to reopen the paper. Flip your sheet over and you will see that the center of your origami bow is formed.
7. To continue, turn the paper over and cut along the raised creations on the left and right sides. Fold the upper raised flap down to meet the lower raised flap. Cut along the center seam.

8. On the left and right lower flaps, fold the edges towards the center to form an elongated triangle. Flip your origami over and fold the elongated triangles to the center, tucking their tips under the middle ball of the bow.
9. Flip your origami over. For the ribbon border: fold the outside of the flap into a small triangle. Then fold the inside out to make a thinner, longer triangle. Flip over and cut off the excess from the bottom.
