To create a simple checkbook entry using Microsoft Excel, open a blank spreadsheet and create labels for the columns that will appear on the paper list, such as date, check number, and payee. Next, format the column headings to make them bold and easy to read, and edit the cell formatting to currency account. And the date. Decide how much higher your balance should be. Every time your balance falls below this value, it will turn red to let you know.
