Blank Colour Wheel – A color wheel is like grouping colors based on primary colors, secondary colors and tertiary colors. Grouping these colors creates a color wheel that helps the artist understand color variations and cycles. As we know green is not just green itself. Green is green, soft green, yellow green and so on. Imagine if this is applied to other colors, can you imagine how complicated it is? This is why the color wheel was created. It helps people understand the flow of colors.
A color wheel is commonly used by an artist to select colors based on color value. This helps them categorize colors into primary colors, secondary colors, or tertiary colors. The color wheel helps the artist to create a composition. It’s like when you get the question, “What colors are dominant in this picture?” You can easily answer this by saying, “It’s black or it’s blue.” You can confirm it though if you see more than just black or blue colors. This is what the color wheel is used for.

There are actually two types of color wheel. The first one is called RYB which has red, yellow and blue colors. The second is called RGB which consists of red, green and blue. This difference is due to its function. Artists often use RYB to help them mix colors in their art and RGB is often used for online products such as TV screens or computers.

Since we know that there are many colors on the color wheel, do you know which colors complement each other? Which colors can create a perfect combination because they complement each other? Well, complementary colors are those that are directly opposite each other. For example: red and green, red and purple, or yellow and green.
Well, don’t you think students can be artists? They can be real artists. If you believe, you need a color wheel. Students also need a color wheel to guide them in choosing the right colors. Sometimes, mixing and matching colors is not easy. If we’re not good enough, we can end up choosing colors that don’t match. So, in this case, students must also have a color wheel. I spent some time on how to arrange the main colors on the palette: it is important to have enough paint and enough space to mix the colors correctly. In this video I used magenta red, cyan primary yellow and blue, but it is possible to use other types of red or blue. The most important thing to know is that red, yellow and blue are primary colors.

Color Wheel Basics
How to use the wheel: Colors that are opposite each other are complementary colors and when used together, they make things “pop” by giving contrast and intensity to the project. . Colors that are close to each other are analogs, used as a combo that gives calmness, peace, tranquility to design or art. There are many combos to do!
