Picnic Basket Template – This is the next post in my new Styled Eats series focusing on how to package and style food. This great DIY picnic basket is the creation of Alexis Birkmeier. The materials needed to make this are really simple. We used extra-heavy butcher block here, but you can even use poster board or flexible cardboard. Just follow the pattern, cut and fold. Very easy! If you want to use these for a bigger party, I’ll get some of my friends to help make it. They’re a special touch you can add while entertaining, but they don’t make it feel fussy or priceless. All instructions and more photos can be found below.
Materials Needed: Free printable template, cardboard or extra thick 18″ x 24″ butcher block per bucket, full blade (or scissors if you don’t mind straight lines). We also used these food bags for picnics here, some are wooden baskets

Step 2: Trace the pattern four times on 18″ x 24″ heavy paper. Starting at one corner, trace the pattern with the handle on top and facing inward. Flip it like a mirror image and watch it again. Turn it over and look at it again. Follow him aside one last time. (See photos for reference.)
