Hello, I’m Tatyana Deniz and I’m here to teach you how to draw with a beautiful and simple “Kawaii” style. And you’ll be given the skills you need to start that creative business, whether you don’t think you’re creative or you’re a complete beginner.

I use a black pen (Copic Multiliner, 0.5 size). But you can use any marker or pen you like.

Snowflake 1 [01:40] – Let’s start with a basic snowflake. Six points. We will draw a straight line and find where the middle is and add two more lines. It’s like a pizza – let’s say you’re cutting into a pizza pie. This one… And this one. It doesn’t have to be exact. It’s a doodle snowflake, so it looks pretty.

This is a simple and cute snowflake. You can use it for greeting cards. You can put it in your bullet journal. I know when I sign a birthday card or letter, I like to write some special decorative elements and it is very sweet.

Snowflake 2 [03:14] – The second type of snowflake can be more complicated. We added a central decoration to it.

So let’s add the decorations in the middle. They are like little V shapes. Then you can go ahead and add more ice.

Notice that the lower icicle part is very large and the upper icicle is smaller.

So, rewrite the six-letter formula. And so, imagine that there is a circle around the edge. We’re going to draw inverted V shapes to show a crystal, going up where the edge of the circle is, if you can imagine.

Let’s add some small balls to the tips. Maybe some ice cubes. Or not waterproof… Either way, they look really cool.

And if you like it, you can also color it and make it more. Also, if you want, you can add more decorative elements in the middle.

Snowflake 4 [05:42] – For the fourth one, we’re going to do something crazy. It will “do your head in”. Well, it worked for me.

Add circles at the ends, so you know your main point. As we did with other ice, but we will connect them forever. You continue the line of ice until it becomes ice next.

Snowflake 5 [06:38] – For the fifth, we will do my favorite type. A little more ornate, and a little more complicated.

Let’s draw a six-point formula. And instead of putting circles on a note, we put small rhombus shapes. So make a small V, and another V. It’s like a magnifying glass.

Then in the middle, instead of putting a point, just make a circle (like a flower). Then we can add icicles.

If you want to teach your students how to draw snowflakes more realistically than just crossing some Xs, but they’re not ready for a discussion about geometry, then try this Here’s how to draw a simple snowman. They make a good example of radial symmetry, a topic that young students can understand.

It’s also easy to layer this snowflake for a little variation. For example, a diamond edge can be a circle. And its Vs can be swapped or changed in rows. Just be sure to emphasize that all snow has six sides to them, and whatever they draw on one face, must be repeated for the other hand. That’s what the radial pattern is used for.
