Making 3D snowflakes is very easy, and I will explain all the steps to you.

As far as tape goes, I just went with some old scotch tape I found in the kitchen.

Once you understand how to use a ruler to balance your model, the rest is pretty easy.

The first step to making your own 3D paper snowflakes is to make a square out of paper.

If you’re using regular printer paper, like I did, simply fold the top, short edge to match the long, perpendicular edge of the paper.

Now that you have the right corner of the square (or the square that is twice the half diagonally), you will want to place the dividing area.

Then draw a line one width across the bottom of the triangle, starting at the point and ending in the center of the soul.

Once you’ve made the center mark, place your ruler on top with the smaller, looser third part.

Now place your ruler over the mark you made and draw another line from the center to the same line.

Draw a third line, one inch down, near the middle of the page, but this time bring your line to the center.

Once you have your lines set on all sides, you can move on to cutting out the details for the 3D snow.

Starting from the line closest to the center, cut your paper along the line, removing the square from the center of the page.

This is the only part you will do that will remove all the paper from now on.

You want to stop cutting when you reach the line you set between the corners.

As you can see, you now have three sides cut out of paper, ready to be made into 3D snow.

IMPORTANT: Now open all the paper up, and lay your new roll down, making sure not to crush it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Turn your paper again, so that the first roll is facing up again, and be careful not to crease your second roll.

Place the last two points of the remaining square together on top of the small circle. Open the article and secure it with tape.

Then repeat this whole process five times, thus making six “petals” of your paper 3D snow.

I did this by making two pieces, then joining the piece with the eye to allow for equal space between all the layers.

If you use regular 8.5 x 11 paper to make a 3D snowman, it should be about 2 feet tall when you’re done.
