Moving to a new city right before the holidays can be difficult. Leaving my friends behind makes me miss past Christmas parties I used to organize and attend. But thankfully, returning to the Midwest means being closer to our families! This year (first time in FIVE years) we spend Christmas with them and it makes it worth it!
While I won’t be hosting my own Christmas party, I will be attending a few with family. So I had to come up with a quick and easy gift idea. Luckily, Sutter Home Family Vineyards has me covered. I came up with these cute and printable wine labels to accompany each bottle and I love how they turned out. As much as I love my family, sometimes spending more time with them can be…interesting. That’s why these wine bottle labels were fun and light, with fun quotes like “Tip time” and “This wine goes well with tough friends.”

Template Design Of A Wine Bottle Hangtag With Print
Fold the top of the labels horizontally and make a crease with your thumb and forefinger.
In this case, a round fist would come in handy, but since I don’t have one, we’ll cut the funds the old way.
Quickly fold the paper so that the center of the circle is exposed and make a quick cut with the tip of the scissors. Open the cardboard backing and continue cutting as shown in the photo below.
* Be careful not to bend the cardboard too much or you will create a crease in the label where you don’t want it.
Wine Bottle Hang Tag Template
When all the slices are ready, cut off the middle part. Off-center cutouts make it easy to get a clean circle.
Now the wine bottle hangers are ready to hang! Choose your favorite Sutter Home Family Vineyards wine and gift tag. My favorite is Sutter Home Merlot and “let it snow, we have Merlot”, but closely followed by Sutter Home Moscato with “Wine is always a good idea”.
For a little extra style, you can also tie some berries and pine nuts with twine and tie them around the neck of the bottle. I happened to have a few DIY pine cone ornaments left over and they worked perfectly in Sutter Home Family Vineyards wine bottles. Another idea is to add a nice decoration for two gifts in one beautiful package!
Or leave them as they are and gift some good wine and a good laugh this season! I plan to put a few labeled bottles in a nice basket under the Christmas tree for our family Christmas. They choose their favorite wine and I make everyone happy!

For starters, you can use any hole punch (you don’t have to bend the paper then). Then you can make the cuts and you’re done!
