The Pirate Princess is a recurring character in the Disney Junior animated series Jake and the Never Land Pirates. She is voiced by Tori Spelling and sung by Laura Dickinson.
The legend of the pirate princess is a popular story among pirates and the various inhabitants of Neverland. Long ago, she proudly sailed the Never Sea, but during one of her voyages, an evil sea witch cast a spell on the princess, turning her into 24-karat gold, and her shipwrecked in a hidden cave. The Pirate Princess is not seen again until years later when Issei learns of the legend.
“Misty’s Magical Mix-Up!” Much of the Pirate Princess’s past is unknown until the third season episode of , where it is revealed that the Princess and the Sea Witch knew each other growing up in a distant kingdom. At that point it was also revealed that the princess had fallen victim to the witch’s magical actions, but the princess believed the witch to be cruel, causing the witch to spend most of her childhood hated by the princess.
The Pirate Princess is a beautiful young woman with a slender figure. She has wavy auburn hair, brown eyes, olive skin, pink cheeks and naturally red lips. The pirate princess has the magical power of her secret wand. The wand creates a rainbow in one swing, but in a “rainbow wand” it can be more powerful because it’s a relief to get it back before it falls into the wrong hands. The wand may also be responsible for creating her castle. She is a skilled sailor and describes herself as brave, strong and intelligent.
The Pirate Princess first appears in the episode of the same name, where Izzy informs Jake, Cuppy, and Scully of the legend, and the three decide to free her from the witch’s curse. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee also learned about the legend and decided to steal the princess’s ship, which was also made of 24 carat gold. Jake and his team travel through the crystal tunnel and across the grasslands to finally reach her. Izzy uses her pixie dust to free the princess and all is restored, but Captain Hook is still determined to steal the ship. Fortunately, Scully creates shadows that resemble a sea witch, thus preventing Captain Hook and his crew. He thanks the pirates and considers Izzy a real princess.
Later in the episode “Rainbow Wand” the princess lost her wand and, unaware of its existence, recently found Izzy on Pirate Island. They go to the pirate princess castle and return it, but are pursued by Captain Hook and his crew. Upon reaching the castle, they enlist the help of Cecilia, the princess’s sea pet, to get rid of the captain. The Pirate Princess uses her wand to create a rainbow that guides Jake and his crew home.
The Pirate Princess returns in “The Never Rainbow.” In this episode, the princess runs out of her rainbow wand. Fortunately for her, the famous Never Rainbow Pirate Island appeared on Never Land and Never Sea. The rainbow leads to a Dazzling Diamond, which becomes stronger when affixed with a wand. However, as the crew departs, Captain Hook learns from his crew that every rainbow leads to a treasure and urges the captain to follow him. When the two pirate crews meet and find the diamond, the Pirate Princess manages to recharge her wand, but Hook still tries to steal the treasure. Unfortunately for the villain, the Never Rainbow disappears with the diamond, leaving the captain with no treasure. Back on Pirate Island, the Pirate Princess lets her friends Izzy and Jake try the fully charged wand. In the process, Jake accidentally hits Hook with rainbow rays, jokingly turning Hook into a colorful version of his former self, as well as wishing he would never see Rainbow again.

In “The Queen of Neverland”, the Pirate Princess and Wingman are summoned by the Queen of Neverland, who is actually Captain Hook in disguise. The princesses were told to give a gift and the “queen” would decide who would be the heir to the throne. However, Jake and the crew reveal Hook’s plans, but the captain steals the diamonds from the Pirate Princess anyway. Trying to escape the heroes, Hook and his crew swim through a dark swamp, causing the Jolly Roger’s sails to become entangled in swamp vines, severing the sails of Hook’s ship and crashing the Jolly Roger until it spins out of control. On a nearby rock, Captain Hook falls overboard and is left at the mercy of Tic-Tac the crocodile, which tries to devour him. The Pirate Princess, Wingman and Izzy soon come to Hook’s aid and use Izzy’s angels to allow the Pirate Princess to retrieve her diamonds.
The pirate princess reappears in Season of the Sea Witch when her former nemesis, the Sea Witch, dominates Never Land and turns her back into a golden statue. The sea witch sneaks into the princess’s palace as a black cloud and confronts the pirate princess, who becomes Izzy in disguise. Just then Captain Hook, disguised as a pirate princess, shows up to steal her diamonds. The sea witch falls in love with Hook’s disguise and turns the captain into a golden statue. Finally, the real pirate princess appears and tries to attack the sea witch with her rainbow wand, which turns the witch into a good witch. Unfortunately, the rainbow explosion misses and the witch strikes back, using her magic to shoot a rainbow wand out of the princess’ hands. Jake and his crew distract the witch while the Pirate Princess retreats to safety. However, the witch obscures the room with black clouds, confusing Jake and the crew. Meanwhile the sea witch enters the princess’s room through the open window. Sorcery prepares to blow up the Pirate Princess just before Jake and his crew arrive with a rainbow wand. Izzy throws him to the Pirate Princess, who finally detonates the sea witch, transforming her into the beautiful Misty Wonderful Witch.
The Pirate Princess joins the rest of her friends from the Neverland Pirate Crew in Jake’s birthday celebration at “Jake’s Birthday Party!”
The princess reappears in Misty’s magical mix! The sea witch is back once again with a mission to turn the princess into gold. The sea witch confronts the pirate princess in her palace, who turns out to be more powerful than the last encounter and could have won if Jake and his crew didn’t interfere with Bucky’s bubble gun. After the witch is temporarily defeated, the Pirate Princess reveals to Jake and his crew that she and the witch grew up together in a distant kingdom and that the witch always played tricks on her. Meanwhile, Sea Witch Captain Hook and Mr. He distracts Jake and his crew while taking care of the princess along with Smee. After the climactic battle, the sea witch, now powerless to destroy her shadow wand, confesses that the reason she wanted to turn the princess into gold was because she refused to be his friend when they were young, saying she played cruel pranks. . To the princess, they only made her laugh. The Pirate Princess forgives the witch for her actions and befriends her, turning her back into Misty the Wonderful Witch.
