Pantry Inventory List – I have been a stay at home / work at home mom for about six years. I was a good person, but before I went downstairs and started working, I went shopping when I had a few minutes and everything was out of control. I will push and buy more.
First thing on my to-do list is cleaning and stocking the fridge and freezer. I don’t remember the exact number, but I was amazed at how many cans of mushroom soup I had collected over the years. I was big on bullet lists and found a weekly spread with a section for planning. Food is important if I want to kick my shopping habits. My budget loves me and I feel good that my family is eating more and spending less.
Now we are away from society, especially at the grocery store. I decided early in the morning that the grocery store would be my biggest risk and that I would carefully plan a meal with the intention of going once every two weeks or more. To do this, I have to start by keeping in the cupboard and the fridge. I created a printable inventory to help keep track of what I had so I could better prepare for my trip to the grocery store. An inventory of suitable foods is a must! I’ve been using them successfully for about a month now, thought I’d share.
How I use it: First, I take inventory of everything I have in stock, using the highlighting tool to specify the amount in stock. As I made the formula using those elements, I marked the appropriate number of boxes with x’s. There are a total of 15 squares, which should be more than enough for long-term tracking of these items. I could not have imagined that I have so many packages of salmon!
How I use it: The links to the freezer inventory link take you to an updated version of what is pictured above. It works just like the kitchen inventory, except it includes a column to write the date it was frozen and the date it was used.

Your local big box retailer offers online shopping with unique choices. My kids eat snacks like it’s their business, and the price of buying Cheez-Its and drinks is even more ridiculous. Instead, we order snacks, drinks, and other items (like toilet paper and paper towels if we’re lucky) and pick them all up without contacting anyone else. When I shop, I like to stock up. I know our favorite pasta goes on sale once a month. Baby cereal every six weeks. If I shop at the lowest price, I can save a lot of money on our monthly grocery budget.
However, it doesn’t help if I stock up and forget I bought it. Every now and then I throw away the unopened bottles or cans of food because they are hidden in the back of the living room.
