1. Hold your paper straight. Start with a round “eye” shape in the center of the rose. Draw your first petal at the top of the hole. All the petals you write after this will be linked to what you wrote and will progress clockwise.

Draw a round heart – start at the top with a heart touching the oval shape. Again don’t worry about the shape of the heart, the left and right sides should not look the same.
Some parts of the heart do not need to touch the oval shape, but there is nothing wrong if they do.
Draw a line following the shape of the heart – start at the top and make a nice short shape (like the letter S). Make a point (V). and brought to the depths of the heart.

It’s a good idea to start with a lighter pencil like 2H or 3H. A blunt pencil works best, as it glides easily across the paper when drawing regular shapes. Start with small petals, firmly attached to the central guide. Remember this is just a sketch. Details will be added later.
Petals do not grow in patterns or in straight lines. Instead, they overlap, increase and increase the distance from the receiving center.
