Hi, I’m Tatyana Deniz and I’m here to teach you how to draw “Kawaii” in a nice and easy style. And to give you the skills you need to finally start that creative business, even if you don’t think you’re creative or a perfect startup.
I use a black marker (Copic Multiliner, size 0.5). But you can use any marker or pen you like.
Snowflake 1 [01:40]: Let’s start with the basic snowflake. He has six points. We’re going to draw a vertical line and then find where the center is and add two more lines. Something like pizza: Imagine you are cutting a pizza pie. Here’s one… Here’s another. It doesn’t have to be exact. It’s a doodle snowflake, so it’ll look cool.

This snowman is really simple and beautiful. You can use it for greeting cards. You can write it in your bullet journal. I know that when I sign a birthday card or note, I like to add a little special personalized decoration and this makes it really sweet.
Snowflake 2 [03:14]: The second type of snowflake will be a bit more complex. We will add a central decoration.
So let’s add a decorative element in the center. They look like little V shapes and then you can go ahead and add the ice cream again.
Note that the bottom of the ice is slightly larger and the top ice is slightly smaller.

Again, draw a six-point base. And now imagine that there is a circle that encloses the points. We’re going to draw inverted V shapes to indicate a crystal, which will rise up to where the edge of the circle would be, if you can imagine that.
We will add balls to the feet. Maybe they are small snowflakes. Or water drops… In any case, they look very beautiful.
And if you want, you can also color them and make them more beautiful. Also, if you want, you can add decorative elements to the center.
Snowflake 4 [05:42] – For the fourth one, we’re going to do something crazy. This will “head you”. Yes, it does for me.

Add circles to the ends so you know what your main axis is. It’s a bit like we did with the other ice creams, but we’re going to connect them completely. You will continue the snow row until it is frozen for the next one.
Snowflake 5 [06:38] – For the fifth one, let’s do our favorite genre. A little more decorative and a little more complex.
Let’s draw a six-point base. And instead of putting circles on the vertices, we’re going to put little rhombuses. So make a small V and another V. It’s like a sharp razor.
And then for the center, instead of making a carpet shape, just make it a circle (like a flower). And then we can add the balls.

How To Make A Paper Snowflake
If you want to teach your students to draw snowflakes that are a little more accurate than crossing some X’s, but they aren’t ready for a geometry discussion, try this method for drawing a simple snowflake. They are an excellent example of radial symmetry, which is a subject that younger elementary students can understand.
It’s also easy to modify this snow map to give it a little variety. For example, the diamonds on the tips can be circles. And the inside of the V can be moved or replaced by lines. Just note that all snowflakes are six-sided, and whatever they draw on one of the points, it needs to be repeated for the other five. This is what makes radial symmetry work.
