Make a tight pony. Do not pull the last loop of hair all the way. It should look like a bump with a strip of excess hair pointing forward.
Divide the bun evenly and pull the excess hair gel strip. Pin and secure to the back of the hair band with small bobby pins.

These cute bow braids can be done in any French braid or lace braid. They look great in a headband braid or a small French braid like I’m wearing, and you can do these versions in your own hair. They also look great in a diagonal braid at the back of the head, but you’ll need a little help creating those bows.
I learned these braids from Cute Girls Hairstyles. I thought they would be too cute to wear, but I love this short version with three bows. I started by doing a French braid from the parting back to just above my ear. I then finished the braid into a normal braid and secured the end with an elastic.

Bow braids can be done in any French braid or half French braid (angel braid) as long as there is a thin section of loose hair next to the braids to create bows.
Styling tip: Depending on the length of your hair, you may have leftover hair sticking out after each bow. Either combine this part of the ponytail with the rest or leave it next to the braid. The next loop will cover the loose parts so that they are not so visible.
This shorter bow braid looks great with your hair out, or pull all of your hair into a low side ponytail for a relaxed updo. About a year ago I wrote my first blog post full of hairstyles you can do for your little girl!!

STEP 1: Part your daughter’s hair down the middle and continue the part on the side of her head just above her ear.
STEP 2: Pull her hair into a ponytail and tie her hair up and tie it through the hair tie to the last wrap of the hair band. On the last wrap, let just some of the hair go through the hair band and let the ‘tail’ point towards the forehead of her face.
STEP 4: Take the ‘tail’ pointing from the front of her face and pull it to the back of her head, sandwiching it between the 2 equal sections.
Half Updo Hairstyles
STEP 5: Take an elastic and tie it around the section of hair you just pulled, making sure to leave the ‘tail’ outside the elastic.
STEP 6: Place the remaining section of hair between your fingers and twist it around the base of your bow.
STEP 7: Continue twisting the remaining hair around the base of the bow until there is no more hair to wrap around.
You can make some small adjustments to your bows like pulls and partings and hairspray, but for the most part your bows will look plain and complete!!
