Comic Book Page Template – If you are an adult, you were probably fascinated by comics as a child. Comic books become part of life’s journey from childhood to adulthood. Many stories are depicted in comics. Men generally prefer comic books with adventure stories, while women generally prefer stories that contain a lot of emotion. Therefore, you can look for story ideas to start a comic. This will be the highlight of the comic. Then design the panel layout and start drawing. It seems easy to do, but you need a formula to make every part of the comic interesting to read.
Panels are layouts that exist in the comic. The distribution of the comic panels is intended to provide a suitable size for viewing the images created by each panel. Therefore, the ideal number of panels on a comic page is usually 5-9 panels. The more panels you create, the smaller and harder it will be to see the image. So customize the story on each page using the standard number of panels.
Comic Book Page Template
To be able to create a comic book layout, you need to know what a storyboard is. In the storyboard, you create an estimate of the size of the image you’ll draw in comic book format. Storyboards usually use drawing paper, and you draw them with a pencil like a sketch. Once you’ve finished your storyboard, you can create a layout size that matches the size of your drawing. You can create layouts using many comic book drawing applications, such as Adobe Illustrator. In this app, the storyboard will be cropped to divide it into panels. The process is not as difficult as the copy-paste technique.

To create layouts, the Internet provides templates that are easy to download. Generally, the provided templates are 1 page with different number and arrangement of panels. Of course, the comic book layout templates on the Internet do not have pictures yet. You can use the layout as a drawing exercise medium or use the layout template as a storyboard sheet. Because later it will be easier in the process of converting to Adobe Illustrator. Sites that offer this for free give free information on the description of the templates

For best results, save the image to your computer before printing. I find it easiest to first click on the image to enlarge it, then drag and drop the image to my desktop, then print from there.
I am often asked what paper I recommend. This 5 rem pouch paper is a good deal for plain copy paper. As for cardboard, I really like this cardboard paper from Amazon. It’s much cheaper than what I’ve found in stores and has a good thickness for most projects, but not so thick that it jams in the printer.

Click on the image to open the template in its original size. Right click and hit “Save” to download. The images are high quality 300 DPI jpegs measuring 15″ x 6″ in RGB mode. Actual comic strips are standard 13″ x 4″.
If you’re drawing a digital comic, you can open any of these templates in Photoshop, create a new layer, and get to work right away. If you’re drawing with pencil and paper, you’ll need an 11″ x 17″ printer to print these full-scale (13″ x 4″) templates. Alternatively, you can print on an 8.5″ x 11″ page and adjust the scale, or print the template onto two pieces of 8.5″ x 11″ paper and glue the halves together.
