One of the largest collections of Caribbean and Florida maps is available at the P. K. Yonge Library of Florida History, part of the University of Florida Library in Gainesville. Many Florida maps are prints or originals.
Many images of Florida maps from 1564 to 1926 can be viewed online, including the Sanborn map of the state. Many early and modern maps of Florida can also be found in the Florida Historical Society Library.
The Sanborn map was created in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Municipalities may have other fire coverage maps. The Villages Map

The latest Village development project for 3,000 homes and 160,000 square feet of commercial space on 1,047 acres southeast of County Road 468 and U.S. 301 was approved by the Wildwood Commission Monday night and saw the state review the project.
The committee actually approved the Wildwood Springs project, and the Villages’ partnership with that developer was not made public until it was approved. The village is not named in the massive documents prepared for the approval process, although a statement said “the developer of the property may be a person or entity other than Wildwood Springs.”
Orlando And Kissimmee Florida Area Maps
Developer Orlando Reader & Partners will build the infrastructure, while The Villages will build and sell the homes and develop the amenities. Dean Barberry, president of Reader & Partners, says construction will begin later this year.
Barberree said the partnership is being kept under wraps because partnership negotiations are still ongoing, but it appears several construction companies in the area were notified last fall in preparation for the project, another large rural housing project south of State 44th Street.
Fenney Village will have 169 acres of wetlands, floodplains and ecologically sensitive areas, and at least 25% of the development must be open space, according to an agreement with the city of Wildwood. A 150-foot buffer zone will protect Fenney Spring, the centerpiece of the project.
The community will have a main recreation center and three neighboring centers like other villages. A 9- or 18-hole golf course can be built on 30-90 hectares in the south-eastern part of the property.

Homes require energy-efficient features such as low-level toilets. Pedestrian and bicycle paths, and possibly golf carts, will also be included. However, residents will not be able to drive their golf carts onto the courses in the main area of The Villages.
The first phase, scheduled for completion in 2024, will include 160 multi-family units and another 80 multi-family units to be added by 2029. Some flexibility for the developer in adjusting the number of houses.
Community development will be built and Wildwood exempts the areas managed by the community developments from maintenance and performance bonds required by other developers.
The documents do not mention a town square, but a commercial area will be developed near the intersection of CR 468 and U.S. 301.
