A multiplication chart (also called a multiplication table or grid) is a useful tool used for mathematics. Very useful for children learning or working on multiplication facts.
The chart is divided into columns and rows, the number of which depends on how many multiplication tables are in the chart.
Grids help make it easier to view the multiplication table by showing a list of multiples of a given number and are an easy way to multiply two numbers, also known as the product of two numbers.

Some multiplication charts can display up to 10, others up to 12, and some as much as up to 20. There is really no limit to how big multiple charts can be, other than looking more complicated than they need to be, or the size of paper on which they print.
The multiplication table table can be placed anywhere that can be viewed daily and it is recommended to revise and use daily.

Children start learning multiplication at a young age, as early as grade 2 or 3/primary school, and it is used significantly throughout school and is a must-have skill.
This multiplication table helps your child as a student with the concept of multiplication and can be of great help in helping your child perform basic arithmetic calculations.
This printable multiplication table is provided to give your child an easy way to learn the multiplication table.
The chart shows a set of numbers running horizontally along the top, as well as numbers running down the left side. Combined, the table shows the product of the two numbers from above and left, which intersect in the grid.

The order in which you multiply the two numbers does not matter because the product of the two numbers will be the same. For example, 8 × 2 equals 16, and so does 2 × 8. So if you take a number from the top and then from the side, or from the side then from the top, the product of both is the same.
To find the product of two numbers, we look for the first number from the set of numbers that runs on top of the card and also look for the second number from the numbers that are on the sides of the card stand
We keep track of where the two numbers intersect, when they meet in the flowing numbers in the first number column, and along the second number row to give us the answer.
To find 8×4, we look for a column that represents the 8 times table and a row that represents the 4 times table. Then we look for a number in the square where the column and the row overlap .

You can also do it the other way around, by starting with the number in the left column, looking for the number 4, then looking up the number to find the number 8. Then look at the intersection of the two numbers on the grid.
To learn the multiplication facts by heart, it is best to try to learn them one table at a time. The multiplication table is simply a set of multiplication facts. So start by studying the table for the first time, then move on to the table for the second time and so on.
It is best not to overwhelm the person learning the multiplication facts all at once, as memorization is best done gradually. Move to the next table only if the person is comfortable with the previous table.
For example, if you are trying to remember what 4 x 8 is, but you know that 8 x 4 is 32, you already know the answer. So if you forget 4 x 8, you just have to switch the numbers to jog your memory to get to the answer.
Times Table Grid To 12×12
Because 4 × 8 or 8 × 4 has the same answer. So this means that studying at least half of the table means you know the answers to everything.
Your answer might not be that quick, but it’s only seconds later that you’ve turned the numbers over in your head.
Taking each table step by step helps students and those who help them. Students can then use each table as a stepping stone to more difficult facts.
Stepping stones are simple facts that are used to help students progress to more difficult facts.

For example, 6×6 is actually a bit harder to learn than 6×5, because the 5 times table is one of the easiest to learn. So using a 6×5 as a stepping stone gives 30, then add another 6 to get 36.
