Who’s ready for some fun Christmas games? Starting today, this year’s series of new Christmas party games will begin. There are tons of great printable Christmas games, virtual Christmas games, and even games like this 12 Days of Christmas game that you can play with family and friends.

Today’s game is one of my personal favorites, Christmas Music Bingo! It combines the fun of a classic Christmas bingo game in the name of Christmas.

You can technically use Bingo Dover, but they mark the cards so you can only use them once. Such as a Disney Cruise or a large event where people buy many cards from a large set Suitable for events.
Below are some basic instructions and recommendations for playing this as a virtual Christmas game.
First, you’ll need to print your bingo cards, cut them out, and line them up as needed. You will also need to create a playlist of songs for your Christmas music bingo card. The full playlist is included on the downloadable bingo card at the bottom of this post.

It also prints a calling sheet that you can mark when the song plays so you can see if bingo was called.
Make sure that wherever you put your playlist (Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, mobile phone, etc.) you have a shuffle playlist option. This is important so that the list doesn’t play alphabetically or in the order you added the songs. You need to be able to shuffle, especially if you want to play multiple rounds.
Once you have your playlist and cards ready, give the cards (or let them choose) to everyone playing and mark them with bingo markers. If you want to do it virtually, send everyone one of the pages from the downloadable pack and assign them one of the four cards (ie top right, bottom left) to use in the game.
Everyone starts by placing a marker in their free space. This will be a free space that can be used to create bingo in any direction.

Play songs from a shuffled playlist. Anyone who has that song on their bingo card can mark it.
If you want the game to be more challenging, don’t say the name of the song when you play it to make it a combo name that coordinates the bingo game. If you want to make it easier, just call out the name of the song (or shout it out loud to the group playing) so everyone knows what to mark.
After 15-30 seconds (depending on the group), stop playing the song and play the next song. People have to keep marking the spots on the bingo card while the song is playing.
When 5 people line up vertically, horizontally or diagonally, call bingo and the game ends. Match songs called Hidden Bingo Spaces and get bingo to win prizes.

After that, it’s up to you if you want to clear all the cards or keep playing the same cards to get multiple wins in each round!
Another really fun thing is to change the “Bingo” for each game. Use the same cards, but instead of playing 5 in a row in each game, make “Bingo” a different goal.
These are just a few of the different things we’ve used to win bingo in the past.

Laminate your bingo cards to keep them functional for years! They are more durable and you can use dry-erase markers (or any of the bingo markers already mentioned) to cover the space.
Deal cards to people if you think they’ll go crazy trying to figure out which cards they want. Skip giving them a choice and just give them.
Buy extra bingo markers if you are using edibles such as M&M’s or cereal. People often snack on edible bingo markers.

There are 37 different songs used in this Christmas music bingo game instead of the 75 songs found in regular number-based bingo games. In other words, even though the cards are unique, they may contain the same 24 songs. You can definitely play Blackout, but I can’t guarantee that two people won’t blackout at the same time.
I’ve included a section above on how to play this game roughly, but the main idea is that the assigned cards should be sent to everyone. Then set up a virtual call with everyone so they can hear your screen. Play a song (announcement recommended) and have them cover their own cards at home as if they were all playing together. Whoever gets bingo home wins!

Hand out bingo cards and texts to each table. Also, briefly explain that you will be playing musical bingo. Free to play. You need 2 lines on your musical bingo card to win a prize.
To keep things moving, explain the game again on the microphone (mark the songs up to two lines) and tell the players the prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Then call the first letter of the song and press play. Repeat this process until there are 3 wins (if 2 wins in the same song, cut it with paper and lock it with scissors).
You can hit pause between songs if you want to improvise and spice up the crowd or add some extra bonus games for fun.

Keep playing the music until 3 winners are found. That round is over and the cards for the next round can be dealt.
Between rounds, background music is played to announce the paper airplane contest. Players use old bingo cards to make the best paper airplanes. Then say it to prepare to aim at the target. Make sure people line up in order so you can determine the winner. The plane closest to the target wins the prize!
The main thing to remember is the life of the party and interaction with patrons. It’s all about sharing great hits from different eras, singing along and tapping your feet to the beat. Once you are comfortable with the game, you can add your own touch to the game. Don’t be afraid to create new bonus games from time to time to keep things fresh. Let me know if you need new ideas.
