Editable To Do List Template – One of the things I talk about in the book is how to successfully manage a to-do list. I talk about how to create your own free printable to-do list and I also share my own printable list that I created several years ago. This list changed my life a lot. I’m sharing it here today, and the good news is that it’s now customizable and editable, meaning you can type in your own section titles and customize it however you want (and in any language!).

**You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to print any type of printable. If you don’t have Adobe installed, you can download and install it from Adobe here for free.

Editable To Do List Template

Okay, stay with me here, this can get a little confusing because there are two different printables I’m sharing. First of all, right below is my personal to-do list, which is not customizable or editable for you to type and change:

If you want to customize your to-do list or create almost any list you can imagine, you’ll need this document below. This is how the document will look when you click the file to open (note the light gray shaded areas):

The light gray shaded areas in the document above are all points that you can customize and type your own section list headings. You can actually type on each line as well as if you want to type in your list. To access this file to customize and edit your list, you can go here.

So for those of you who have never edited a printable before I will walk you through every little step of how to edit and print your list. It’s really easy!

Create A Master To Do List With Free Printable Templates

Step #1 – First check if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. Any acrobat program will work. If you don’t have it, you can download and install it here for free. The icon will look like one of these. If you have, you don’t need to do anything, it will start when you click on the file:

Step #2 – Click the link here to go and open the customizable document. This is exactly what your screen will look like after opening (note all the light gray shaded areas):

Step #3 – Type your text. Wherever you see light gray shaded are areas that you can type in any words you want. Don’t worry, the gray areas will not appear when you print your document. You can type in the list lines or boxes and customize your list. You can create a list for anything!! For example, I created a weekly to-do list for my 11-year-old daughter to help us get through her week, and this is what it looked like when I finished checking off the boxes:

Again, the shaded gray areas will not show up when I print my list above. It will just be blank, so don’t try to get rid of the shaded gray.

Step #4 – Press print after you are done typing. This to-do list will print on standard 8.5 x 11″ copy paper, and as long as your tray is full of paper, you’re good to go!

Step #5 – Select the number of copies you want on the screen that appears after pressing the printer button. This is what your screen will look like after you press the printer button. Select the number of copies where the red arrow is below:

I’ve already created several lists, including a blog to-do list and a holiday/gift to-do list. The possibilities of the list are endless and it goes beyond a simple to-do list.
