Kansas Football Uniforms – Kansas football didn’t look sharp on offense Friday, and since they were playing a lower-division school, the decisions on defense are still to be determined, but there’s no doubt that KU looked great aesthetically.
Kansas had a tradition on Friday night and I would love for him to wear this uniform for every home game, but this is college football and we know that’s not going to happen. Well, maybe so. Lance Leipold seems to be a conservative old-school football guy, so KU will likely look like KU at Memorial Stadium (aka The Booth) this season.

A blue helmet with a giant Jayhawk on both sides is a must in any uniform package. Add a white face mask for a clean look. Of course, a blue shirt and white pants (he prefers stripes over pants) complete the classic look. My only minor gripe is the continued use of silver figures. Replace them with white outlined in crimson and this set is almost perfect. Just wondering here, I’m happy with the character I saw on Friday. More please.
Previewing Kansas Football’s Upcoming Official Visit Weekend (nov. 18 20)
KU’s first game under coach Leipold says a lot about what KU believes it should be. I know people will call out the white look, and I can get behind it, but I’m staying traditional for the first road game: blue helmet/white shirt/blue pants.
Well, the feelings of the members of this site towards Baylor are pretty well known, so I’ll just say it: I want them to win, but if we can’t, at least let’s take a good look at it. I would like to repeat a set of uniforms for the week. Blue helmet/blue shirt/white pants.
This is one game I’m rooting for Kansas to redshirt. So you know they won’t. Duke will be wearing a lot of royal blue and they are the only team on the schedule this year. A good time to break out the red pants (if they’re in the lineup). Blue helmet/white shirt/red pants.
I think this is a game where KU should be mono-white. ISU will try full maroon stripes (or something close) to make the white set stand out.
Kansas Players React To Special Edition Homecoming Uniforms
It’s homecoming day, and Kansas will be wearing light blue K-tie shirts, blue pants and helmets. These are very sharp.
What’s better than KU breaking all the blues with OU dressed in red/white/white? The straight look of the blue man band is a traditional Kansas uniform, and it’s a good time to do it.
Does Kansas try another look on the road or do they repeat another look? For the sake of argument, I wish they wore the blue cap with everything else white. It’s the second or third best look on the road, and OSU always tries to look weird, so traditional might be the right call.
It will be a win against a more humble and self-centered opponent than most reasonable people would expect, so a last-second field goal will look as good as it can when it goes through the uprights. Blue/white/blue.
Kansas Football Homecoming
I really don’t care what Kansas brings against TCU after their impressive win against future SEC “powerhouse” Texas. I think all white would look good.
End the season the same way you started it (from a unified perspective). Blue/white/blue. Oh, and win? It will be clean. rock Lima. Is over. Falcon. KU will be a better football team in 2022 with an experienced roster. And they must exceed the expectations set by punters.
The Kansas Jayhawks have a 2.5 win total for the season and are priced at -135 on DraftKings Sportsbook. On the first day of October, they have a good chance of surpassing this figure.
What KU’s Lance Leipold has done as a college football coach is incredible. At Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater, he began his career with a 109-6 record and six state titles in eight years. From there, Leipold moved to Buffalo for six seasons, where his running style led the Bulls to MAC championships in two of his final three campaigns and was ranked No. 25 in the AP before move to Lawrence in 2021.
Kansas Jayhawks Football: Dorance Armstrong Jr. Fits Perfectly For Dallas Cowboys
In Leipold’s first season with Kansas, the Jayhawks went 2-10 and 1-8 in the Big XII. But despite their record, they might be the most improved FBS team from Week 1 through Week 12. After a 57-56 OT win at Texas in Week 10, KU lost 31-28 at TCU and lose 34-28 at West Virginia. It was a great way to end the season for a team that had no expectations after the Miles Debacle Era.
But what makes KU so intriguing is the talent it has, coming in at No. 7 out of 131 teams in the nation during an offseason with an NCAA-record roster turnover. That includes nine starters, including quarterback Jalon Daniels, who played the role in the Week 9 game at Kansas State and was the center for the final three games of 2021.
The road to at least three wins is pretty straightforward for the Jayhawks, and FCS Tennessee Tech will open the season in Lawrence. TTU was 5-6 last season and has lost its last three Ohio Valley Conference games.
KU will also host a rebuilding Duke team on Sept. 24 under new head coach Mike Elko, who will need some time to get the Blue Devils’ program back on track. In terms of returning talent, KU is 7th and Duke is 121st. It will be a while before Duke is competitive again and Kansas should be favored at home.
Kansas Jayhawks Football Set For Spring Game Amid Offseason Of Change
The other non-conference game is at Houston, which is a tougher sled. But that means you only need ONE (1) conference win to cash the ticket. The difference in college football is enough when it doesn’t have that much talent and can go without a proven winner in practice.
If you can find two Big XII wins, you’re +170 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Although this is not a lock, we will consider the following.
West Virginia ranks 127th in returning talent and should have a season-opening road loss to rival Pitt, starting quarterback J.T. Daniels is in his third year of school and is coming off a recurring injury. That game in Morgantown on Sept. 10 should be where Kansas has a chance.
Iowa State should be better in 2022, but they play in Lawrence on Oct. 1 and rank 128th in returning talent. If you’re a Cyclones fan, you’re better off playing this game later in the season than earlier.
Kansas Football Uniforms: 2013 Review
TCU has a great new coach in Sonny Dykes, but he inherits a talent that doesn’t match Gary Patterson’s defense. Play is Oct. 8 at Kansas City, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State for the Horned Frogs.
Last year’s win at Texas proved anything can happen in college football. But Baylor, the defending champion in the preseason polls, is unlikely to fall, especially with one of the best coaches in the NCAA in Dave Aranda. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas must also bring their first shoulder to the stadium, but we won’t find a third win against the top teams in the Big 12 this season.
Kansas State ranks 95th in return production, 66th in the NCAA in Composite Team Talent and 71st, just five behind KU. If he makes it to the final game of the season, but he doesn’t, he still has a good chance at third with Kansas. If you decide to exit, you can hedge some of your bets at a good price.
Will Kansas win the Big XII this year? No. Will they be bowling? There is a small chance, but it is unlikely.
Kansas Vs. Texas Got Batty After Halftime
But will KU make up for more than 2.5 wins on the season? Close it, set the price and count the money. Today we take a look and evaluate the different uniform combinations that Kansas wore during the 2013 season.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve featured uniforms worn by KU in the past and in some of the most successful years in program history. Now we look back at the 2013 season, a season that featured more consistent combinations than any other in KU football history. It wasn’t that long ago (2012!) that KU wore one uniform at home and another on the road. Those days are long gone and with so many options from hats to pants, KU has almost limitless options. But with many combinations, you
