I have recently been commissioned to make 8 sarees. I can find lots of examples but very few tutorials. These instructions should give you a starting point if you’re creating awards yourself. I started by modifying the image to serve as a template. That figure was opened in Excel and printed. I have included the file if needed. I arranged the print the way I wanted it, taped it together and cut it out with a razor blade.

Then I traced the pattern I made on a piece of MDF. Then I used a hacksaw to cut out the template. Finally I cleaned up the chat marks inside the template.
For this part you need a router configured with template-router. You can get that bushing kit at any hardware store. The router bit you use depends on the look you want. I started with a round bit, but decided it looked better with a bit.
Attach the template to the wood you are using. I use pine. With the router set to the desired depth, run the router through the template. Make sure the router is completely turned off before lifting to view your work. Otherwise you risk damaging the sample. To make things easier I used the saw in a vacuum to pick up the dust.
Find the color blue and yellow. Paint on arrows and light beams. You don’t have to be very careful because the excess sand will come off.
Order Of The Arrow Plaque
Note that the paint will seep into the bead a little along the edge. You’ll get a clean edge with a sander, but it won’t be 100% sharp due to the nature of how pine takes paint.
Make a silhouette like a paper heart. Trace it onto the metal and cut it out. Use a ball-point hammer to texture the metal. Heat all the arrowheads with a torch until they are colored. Use sandpaper to remove some surface oxidation. Cut the sharp edges. Attach the dowel to the end where the arrowhead will go. Use a scroll saw to cut a slot in the end of the slot. Place the arrowhead in the slot and secure with a tight knot. I also put hot glue on the back.
To make the feather piece I overlapped the electrical tape, cut it to size, rolled it out and trimmed it to shape. The arrow lines were printed on computer paper and attached to the shaft with clear packing tape.
A nameplate was cut on a plexi glass table. Be sure to place masking tape on both sides of the plexiglass where the saw blade will pass. Remove the protective cover and create a random jagged edge on your router with a round bit. Gently sweep the edges with a blowtorch to smooth the edges. Drill holes in the corners to accommodate the brass studs.

Use photo paper to print out what you want the awards to mean. Place the photo paper on the award and plate. Attach with tacks and use a razor blade to cut the photo paper.
Finally, insert the eye hooks on the top edge. Use nylon string to hang the prize and tie the arrow. good luck
