Rubber Band Loom Patterns Instructions – This is my favorite of all the Rainbow Loom bracelets – the six fish! It is much thicker and more complex and more like a bracelet. I made mine a little bigger than my wrist so I could wear it as a bracelet too.
This six fish bracelet probably took me several hours over several days and the end result is perfect.

P.S. I really recommend making the original Rainbow Loom Fishtail Bracelet before tackling the six fish. The six fish bracelet is like the fish tail bracelet six times.
How To Make The Starburst Bracelet
If you buy the Rainbow Loom set above, you’ll get the hook shown, some clips and some ribbon – you don’t need to buy anything else! 😀
To start the bracelet, remove one section of the loom (so you only have two rows of pins) and make sure the pins are square.
Now take the first ribbon and twist it like a figure eight from pins 1-2. Then insert a row of 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 and 6-1 as shown.
These ribbons can be any color as we will cut them off at the end. I used black to avoid wasting the colors I use more often.
How To Make A Simple Loom Band Bracelet (without A Loom!)
Using the hook, pull the eight straps over the top straps, working from the outside in. It should look like image #4.
I like to go from left to right on each row of teeth, but it doesn’t matter which order you do it. 🙂
For each layer, add a new thread around all six pins, then take the bottom thread and pull it up and over the top two threads of each pin. Add another thread around all six pins and repeat the process.
This six-piece bracelet will emerge from the bottom of the loom, so you’ll see it grow as you work. 😀

Continue adding more straps until you reach the desired length. (I’ll show you how to finish the loom end in the next two steps!)
The bracelet will look flat and weird when it comes off the loom, but pulling on the end will tighten it into the right shape.
Once you’ve reached your desired length, thread all the extra ribbons over the pins until you only have one left.
Now you want to place the loop on the straps so that they are only on the three pins as shown in the pictures.

I take the loop on pin 3 and move it to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 6 and pin 5 to pin 4. (using the way the pins are labeled in step 2)
Once you have the original loops on the three pins, put another thread on all three to form a triangle.
Place the two bottom straps on each pin at the top. Now take the remaining three loops on the pins and attach them to the center pin closest to you. Clamp these three straps together and you can pull it off the loom.
At this point, pull the bracelet to make sure everything is in the right shape. As you can see in the second picture, it looks really silly before you stretch it. 😛
Rainbow Loom Craze Inspires New Book
This is definitely the most difficult part of the hex bracelet, but it is essential for a beautiful finish. Leaving it like this creates a bulky mess that is difficult to fit into a C-clamp.
At the end of the bracelet, you will see many large loops held together by six sets of two straps. You are going to transfer the six sets of ribbons back to the loom. Make sure you get both groups.
The last set is the hardest to get – but keep digging with the ring and you’ll get under it.
When all six loops are back on the loom and you double to make sure you have two loops on each pin, you can cut off the extra loops at the end.

This will leave you with two ribbons on each pin, so slip the bottom one over each so you have one ribbon for every six pins.
Tie the ribbons together in three pegs, add ribbon around them and add the bottom ribbons.
